Day 24 And I was able to complete Manstein's trial. So, after less than a month of playing I has been officially recognized by the game as a mid-game player Seriously speaking, I advise to new players always to play some of the missions that seem to be "impossible" at the start of the game. Some of them are really tough indeed, but others are manageable and rewards we get for their completion are usually far above expectations for those players who started the game only recently. So, completing Manstein's trial with 15* provided me with 16 fragments of elite units (including some fragments of heavy tanks). Fragmentation is a nasty thing and the lack of elite units don't help either, plus my lvl 2 medics are apparently inadequately prepared for such battles but with some efforts and some strategy it's possible to overcome all difficulties and to succeed after all. Definitely agree with this, it costs nothing to give a try. I'm not as good at this game as you are so when I tried Eisenhower's trial a few days ago, I got destroyed in the first mission. But I lost nothing for trying to clear it
Same with the defense missions. I can only defend up to around turn 15, but that's enough to give me the first two rewards: fragments for elite units and ribbons. I lose nothing but my time trying it. Dakara, ganbarimasu! Give it your all and maybe you'll shock yourself! I know I have.

As I understand, these "defense" missions are all about building forts in the right place at the right time

Day 27 "Hold the ground" missions are completed on normal and hard difficulty. I think that all new players after building the most important Wonders should concentrate their efforts on completing these types of Events. First of all, rewards are just great for any new player. You get medals for completing each mission, you get medals by collecting milestone rewards, you get fragments of elite units and plenty of other resources (irrelevant for endgame players, but very helpful for anyone else). Then, you don't need any specific upgrades most of the time. The only one exception is, probably, "Accumulate supplies" Event, when economic skills of our generals may be quite useful. But other than that you just upgrade your best generals and that's enough for this. Since we should upgrade our best generals to defeat daily Invasions anyway, no special preparations are needed. Last, but not least, it is a reliable source of several types of elite units. We are not at the mercy of RNG here, and that is always a good thing!

Day 28 And all WWII Europe Challenge campaigns are perfectly cleared It was easier than I expected, actually. The difference between hard mode and challenge isn't that huge. Probably ET should think about nightmare campaigns

Day 29 And another Trial is cleared. A couple of tricky missions there, but nothing a player with several decent generals couldn't handle. My concern was when I started the game that I will farm fragments of elite units for donkey's age, but, in fact, it isn't that bad.

I think this thread is partially proving that we, as players, are too overpowered. We need a nerf (which the won’t do), or enemy AI should improve.

Day 33 And "Wipe out the Enemy" missions are cleared both on normal and hard. The missions of this type are relatively easy in comparison to other and rewards are quite good for every new player. Perhaps it is the best source of medals together with daily Invasions. Other rewards including fragments of T44, Hawkeye, M7 Priest etc. are welcomed as well.

Day 35 Finally I could find some time for playing Frontier mode and Royal Navy badge is mine! Though it isn't easy to upgrade these badges if you don't buy tickets for medals. Anyway even at low levels these badges come in handy...
