Nobunaga Oda I am afraid late game generals like Thomas Stanley are unavailable for new players. Oh, I forgot and it's hard to tell from here. Qutie a shame for him to be locked behind the Wars of the Roses, I presume. Still, looking forward to a new perspective on earlier battles.

But, in fact, the prerequisite conditions are not that harsh. Only chapter 4 is needed. So, a great advice, Nobunaga Oda!

I have encountered a serious problem. I can't save my current progress. I continue to get an notice Any ideas on how to overwrite or to delete the old archive? Update Nevermind... I used my other phone to rewrite the old save with the new one. I lost my today's progress in the process, but, hey: sometimes we win, sometimes we learn Now when the bridge is burned behind me, I have no other choice than moving forward

One big difference between a start of the game several years ago and now is that it is possible to get one of the most flexible f2p generals immidietly after starting the game. I am talking about Murad II. It is a bit tricky to complete Ottoman conquest without Justinian and virtually without siege equipment, but it is still achievable without too much efforts put into it. It is even easier than getting Darlan in WC4, because only one conquest is needed and this is on normal difficulty. So, Murad is on board What was your plan for winning with Ottos with barely any generals in a decent amount of time? Would it be worth getting Justinian before trying this, or waiting for Sophia?

My plan was ... just to kill everyone else on the board I agree that there's actually no rush in getting Murad immidietly after starting the game. But it was just interesting whether it is possible to do so. And not only was this possible but it can be done without too much efforts actually. This demonstrated to me however the paramount importance of a good consul before to continue with normal conquests. A good consul saves time, and time is an issue if I want to succeed.

what in the... oh.. challenge. good luck,
been 2 yrs playing EW7, been quiting many times, but i never do it/restart again. the agony of harrying the north reminds me not again. my personal challenge is if as f2p can complete proof of honor soldier, i agree EW7 is a dead game, unlike WC3, still kicking.

Well, my Lancelot's been cobwebbed for a long time. My Ranged units are weak and I don't have many Archer Gens, but now he doesn't disappoint me at all, with Khesig+Heavy Assault Cav+Woad Rider setup + Rhinoceros/Constantine Hammer...

Speaking of Justinian. Day 2 and he is my second medal general. Conquests are the best farm ground in the game, so the earlier the better. I am planning to use this pair in campaigns as well.

It Is to Bad that his items, and several other items stayed behind a paywall. Quite so, but luckily it isn't that hard to reach 150 administration points anyway.

That's a very masochistic experiment I wonder how far you get before you have to rely on (automated) conquest grinding. What's your stance on war drums in this run?
