7 of the 8 princess shown:
Below is the option given to you at the end of a conquest game, where you decide to "rule" will determine what princess you might get. On the last turn before the victory, make sure to save and reload to increase years ruled everywhere.
There are a total of 8 Princess, they are earned by playing the conquest mode and conquering the world, that is all enemy buildings (cities/factories/farms etc..) and destroying all land and naval units, fortifications.Allies and Neutrals don't have to be conquered although sometimes stealing from them can be beneficial.
All the conquest has to be done within a certain number of turns. How quickly you accomplish this will help determine your "years ruled" and that will decide if and what you unlock, in addition you also get a bonus in years ruled by having lots of ressources.
The easiest Princess start unlocking at 65 or so turns played, like Kate the US naval princess. The elite princess Isabela starts unlocking at around 45 turns, and the epic Princess Lan and Victoria unlock at about 31 turns played.
Recommended is that on the last turn before you win, save the game in that way you can claim rules in whatever then load that saved game again and this time claim the other continent.Do this multiple times even if you win a princess. You can win 3 princess fronm the exact same saved game if you meet all the other requirements.
Also note they are other factors at play here, like campaign progression. So if you don't get a princess when you think you should have, try advancing in campaign mode a little then go back to conquest and just reload the old saved game and see if it unlocked for you.
Finally the last 2 princess seem to have their own set rules, and are very difficult to unlock even though they unlock for some players they seem to refuse to unlock for other players that just met the same basic requirements.
Now for the where to win them: a good spot you can get kate and sakurako playing is in playing America conquest either as the US or as the Great Britain in 1875.
For the rest (and untill proven otherwise) nothing beats HRE (holy roman empire) 1798, that's also the only known country/date that is proven to have unlocked Lan/Victoria.
Edit: the princess Lan can also be unlocked by playing the American conquest (just make sure to also claim rule in Asia)
Years ruled required: (estimated)
Rus(Sophia)=250 years europe
Fra(Isabela)= 700 years europe
Aus(Maria)= 550 years europe
Tur(Fatima)=400 years europe
Gbr(Victoria)=850 years europe
Usa(Kate)= 450 years America
Jap(Sakaruko)=350 years asia
QING DYNASTY (Lan)=550 years asia
The 800 years number is what's listed in the game file, but this might be bugged as often time logging off with 800 years and restarting game the number changes from 800 to 850.
All right, enough talk, time to go chase the royal ladies!
