The perfect combat general for me is their 5 star specialty and 5 star movement. My tank and artillery commander have that, while my other one is usually on MI so he doesn't need it badly. Weird, I thought you would say "The best general? Are you kidding? It's Mountbatten Mountbatten Mountbatten Mountbatten Mountbatten Mountbatten" |

yep, that's right. some say that easytech launched it earlier than they were planning, and that some things weren't finished when they uploaded it. like australia got the port from hawai for no reason

Maybe they wanted to balance the countries. It's just weird that Iran (which is a Persian country) gets the arab commander or Poland getting Smigly even though he died in 1941.

Commanders are all over the place in 1960. There was also a challenge that had about 8 Soviet Commanders all with 230 hp.

yep, there are a lot of challenes/campains with cuba as enemy, in those one cuba got a lot of commander cuba, (6 or so)

I'm guessing they gave Cuba these Commanders instead of creating like Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, or Raul Castro

I think this list was made too early as we havent even finished talking about so many generals that could belong here.
Also some generals can belong here but only if their health is upgraded too like Vatutin who is also an excellent tank commander.
Finally I am wondering if the 1975 alien conquest changes or influence our choice as what should go into the list of the best generals.

We have several discussions about various generals and one comprehensive general stat list that NetherFreek mentioned but we dont have a single definitive thread on the pro's and con's of all the top generals along with the buy or do not buy recommendation. This thread is doing that but is not complete,it still is very much a work in progress. All suggestions and opinions are always welcome.Some of this obviously is going to be subjective based on player preference or play style for example do you value the defensive skill or the regeneration skill? Rommel desert fighting skill or patton city skill? Do you prefer more mobility on artillery or more firepower? how about health? How much value does extra health have? Is strong health with average skills better than good skills with poor health? Would you go with a hybrid commander that can do air+tanks or rather pick a more focus tank commander that has stronger skils in tanks but useless in air? so there is bound to be some disagreements,but it shouldn't be too to sort that out and still have a good list. |

Luckily this isn't about EW4 because then a flame war between me and Suvorov would happen.
But yeah many new players really need such information like what generals to buy first.
