I'll start with mine, you can add yours too and tell us how this has helped you.
Long range artillery : My conquest games got so much better when I started using these. Now my entire strategy in conquest mode always revolves around capturing towns that are capable of producing these units (industrial cities level 2+).
Upgrade tech level on artillery as much as possible and infantry too. My main units are long range artillery+mechanized infantry always.
In 1943 era and onward you also need air defense tech to protect cities.

I put my aircraft general on high-movement unit like mech-infantry or armor car. He runs around cities with airfield. Airstrike or nuke + paratroop can take cities very quickly. With surplus resources at late conquest game, you can capture almost all cities in Europe within few turns. Especially, in the latter 2 conquest scenarios which many cities have airfields.

Great tip kanue,I will experiment with this some more, sounds like this will be a major component of faster games. Also Europe has many of the major and richest cities in the world and they are all close to each other for easy access to paratroopers/nukes/air strikes. So possible to win Europe faster and with the huge amount of money/ressources that gives you it's basically game over, rest is simply a mopping up operation.
Faster games seem to be the key to unlocking wonders.

When playing a minor 1 star country,or even a medium 2 stars country it is vital that you have a perfect start. You are starting the game at a disadvantage already and so if the start of the game (say first 15 turns or so) dont go your way,it's best to just restart the game.
Example1:Do not allow any allies to steal cities you have fought hard to conquer.
Example 2:if you deploy your early forces in the wrong area and waist too much time without any conquests.
Example 3:If an enemy general get too lucky and tear up your forces,or if you loose any units or generals.
I can list more but you get the idea, nothing less than perfect will do when playing weak countries.
The exception to this is that if you have top notch generals and/or lots of techs and wonders you can recover from bad starts, but for the rest of us it is just better to quickly restart the game.

Farming ressources might be better done in some eras.I find on average that I make more ressource gain in the 1950 per hour played than in the 1960 even though the reward is higher in the 60's.

Prepare staging area before you need them,if you are going for a speedy finish for wonders.
So lets say you are Soviets, you will eventually fight the japaneese but cant at first because the German threat is too big. So when possible move some assets to the East, not much just enough to capture 1 level 2 industrial city or lvl 3 regular city. When you are done with the germans, you can quickly capture that japanese city and use it to build a new army.

Masses and masses of long range artillery sounds amazing, the problem is though, artillery just never works for me, especially since the artillery upgrade isn't available to me because of Allied 7(lol all my problems are because of that damn mission) blocking me from Allied 8 and so on, and marching ability as well. I always love to go with the tanks, but those aren't best when you ravage the enemy forces but they get destroyed as soon as you reach the city. Motorized Infantry doesn't work well for either cause (like this is totally out of the blue) I like to focus on tanks! BLITZKRIEG OF TANKS! No infantry, no artillery, TANKS! The airforce as well but they aren't an actual unit. Gah I wish that planes and bombers could be units like in the ame Axis & Allies.

I mentioned in another thread but hold off major farming with 1 star countries untill after you build the +gold and +steel wonders (the oil one doesnt need building at first),these two wonders can really kick start the economy of minor countries.

Trying to take out all the medals from the conquests... What is the best 1* country for 1939? Is it Egypt?

I havent tried all the 1 star countries but I can tell you my favorite FWYS (farm while you sleep) conquest for 1939 is Norway, Axis in Europe dies in about 25 turns and thats when I engage autoplay,ai (my side) wins every time.
We need a new thread to find the best autoplays!

Tip 1:1939 good training wheels but need to play 1960 as quickly as possible to make faster game progression.
Tip 2:Cheap good air general soon after getting one or 2 art generals and also make air technology upgrades quickly.

Tip 2:Cheap good air general soon after getting one or 2 art generals and also make air technology upgrades quickly. For air force upgrade, I am facing a dilemma between to keep using PMI (para-motorized-infantry) at 8 grid range or to upgrade it to commando and then further upgrade range.

I think range 8 is quite OK. Well, in case we could paratroop directly to Brisbane and Hawaii that could be reasonable, but I doubt it will be possible to get to Hawaii.
