Quintus Fabius, 1941 could also be considered as the start, and that was when America entered the war and it truly became a World War. I consider 1937 the start, however.

Tito was proabably the only person who could keep Yugoslavia toghether. Ivan Kolev had a scortched earth policy. I fully support him for that in the USA civil war; war is absolutely cruel and you need to do whatever you can to end it as fast as possible--even when it means going total war on the enemy. Have those critics of him never read Machiavelli or Clausewitz? Mountbatten : not great ingame, great gen IRL. Frederick II? Both him and his father were great men. Also, he was the best military strategist of his time. Jean-Luc Picard . I have no idea what he did, but it seemed to be of positive influence for Israel.

yi sun sin aka the Nelson of eastern civilisation. Saved Korea and possibly China from destruction. Agreed. Also, he invented turtle ships. That's got to earn him a place as a great naval gen in the next Easytech game.

Mountbatten AWESOOME Moshe Dayan He is awesome aswell Tito: He was the only man who could effectively keep Yugoslavia together, but in order to do so he had to be authoritarian, which is a big no-no in my book. That being said, I admire people like Bismarck as well who was also pretty authoritarian. Also, he wasnt a puppet of the West or the East, which I admire. Gergj Skanderbeg: I dont know much about the initial Ottoman conquests, but he sounds like a great leader and from what I've read he was able to fend off the Ottomans until his death. Sherman: One of the most important military men in history in my opinion, mainly because of his tactic of Scorched Earth/Total War. While Ulysses S. Grant had used a similar tactic prior to Sherman, Sherman took it to a new level, purposely destroying EVERYTHING in his path, railroads, ammo depots, anything of military or tactical importance. Nothing had ever been done like what Sherman did to such a major level prior to him. While he was hurting his own people, he knew he had to win the war for the Union and that the Union had to be held together at any and all costs. Frederick the Great: Truly deserves the title 'Great'. He defeated what was previously deemed the strongest German state (Austria) with what was considered a second rate power (Prussia). He continued improving the military like his father before him, and took over Silesia, one of the richest regions in all of Europe, and was able to not only take it in the first place, but defend it in two other Silesian Wars. He was also a patron of the Arts, and not just a warmonger as some portray him to be. Mountbatten: Ive heard he was a great naval general in WWII, but since I haven't read much into him I have to take other people's word for it. Moshe Dayan: Anti-Imperialist, wanted independence for Israel from first Britain, and then from neighboring nations. I really gotta respect any Israeli commander who was able to fend off basically all of the Arab World and all of Israel's neighbors in 1947.

My favorite general EVER is Zhuge Liang. Best Chinese strategist very possibly. The stories are lying. Yes, he was a good diplomat, but the stuff people say about him was added by Luo Guanzhong, who was a fan of him. The actual people who did the stuff attributed to him are people from Zhou Yu and Sun Quan to Cao Cao himself. In actual fact, he was the best logistics officer in history. Yes, he was the same as the guy who took care of your 'Metal' while you were steamrolling Germany.
