I have more things to do as well.

Karachi is 9 hours ahead of the East coast (US), so let's say...make all orders due on 12 est, so 12 for us East coast Bros, 9 pm for Napoleon Bonaparte, and etc if you live in the Midwest, Pacific, Europe, and so on.

Don't you just hate timezones? tell me about it? I'm like sleeping while deso here is sending me a message saying me to do the turns as he doesn't want himself to slap me with an NMR -_- Deso? man? What the hell? I was hoping to catch you when you wake up. I had checked the clock in Karachi. It said 8:15am. That was when I sent you a PM trying to ask you for your moves. Does that make sense now as to why I would try to send you a PM at that time? Aa for processing the Fall 1902 season even though you had a family emergency... I had no idea that you had gone to the hospital for a family emergency on the night before. Jean-Luc Picard was right, if you asked me for an extension, I would have granted to you one, a full extension if necessary. At that time when it's already way past the deadline, I went ahead and sent out the five set of orders with your NMR (plus one other) without knowing why you didn't send in a set or even a quick request for an extended deadline. There's no reason to be upset with me if I have been consistently merciful as a GM instead of being a cold-hearted machine like a DPjudge. It didn't matter if it was a second or 2 hours past the grace period, the judge program would've slammed NMRs on four people in this case. Again, Napoleon Bonaparte, I sympathize with you for the missed deadline. I'm still under the required obligations of being a balanced GM.

If it's midnight NYC, then it's good for Napoleon Bonaparte's Karachi time (10am if I am right) not 9pm. (Note: Karachi seems to not follow DST, being too close to the equator). However it would've been rough on the Europeans, Singlemalt (and Der Kaiserreich?). Doesn't make things worse or better for Frederick the Great in Canberra. Think about ALL of the 7 players, not just America and Pakistan. If I set up a late-night deadline for my local time, it means absolutely no grace period for late orders a few hours past the deadline. I can't stay up and wait until 4am for a late player. I would have to just post the on-time people's orders then go to bed. This wouldn't permit the late players to put in a set of orders, because it doesn't make sense to allow people to send in orders after seeing the other players' orders posted online.

I'm considering just holding the phase until I recieve every order, but from my experiences in the TWs, this leads to very sloppy submission of orders. Jean-Luc Picard can testify for his rough experience as the host of TW13 trying to get espionage orders from the players in there. And also, there's always a player wondering when everyone else will finally get their orders over with. That's a very sloppy and messy way of doing business, benefiting neither the late or the early player.
Speaking of which... the current Winter 1902 phase can be put on pause if the players wishes to discuss an alternative schedule method. I have tried to be very reasonable, a 48 hour period per movement phase, 24 for simple bulid/disband phase, a rough 3 to 4 hours flexible grace period for people who failed to make orders on time. Also extensions and substitutes available if requested in advance. Is there a better idea?

Guys, let's leave it as is. If it's midnight where you're at, submit your orders before bedtime

Ah thanks! I had a hard time remembering where he was from. I will add Singapore to my phone's "Wall of Clocks" lol.
I suppose that's the simplest approach, Jean-Luc Picard
