Arnold has an extra infantry star and spy on nenavodic. Plus trade generals =\= econ generals imo. My econ generals are usually far away from trade cities, as they are out improving the awful cities (if I even use them at all that is). Imo the cavarly generals should be the trade generals as they are the ones who will commonly capture high level cities. Furthermore, nenavodic’s econ expert is pretty meh. If you have Fatima for sure it is the best to give her two eco trainer! For less than 700🎖 she will have 5⭐, and you can't find a more eco general - I bought an extra slot just for her - she is the key for so many missions in the campaign! For me a econ general has primary to change 💰🔧🍖 - yes it helps to save 26💰 on a city upgrade and get up to 60💰 more per round for a eco master - but in many campaigns and in conquest anyway the change of resources is most important! You get 3 times more for very change with 5⭐! Buying items cheaper is the nice side effect. If you need your eco general in a far away enemy's city: conquer first, build a militaria and deploy there your eco - voilà With architecture upgrading factories makes the biggest payback! - and you can use this skill two times a round (upgrade - move - upgrade). I agree with the logic. But still imo, the trading generals should be the main generals in your army. Example, Isabella can have 5 star trade easily and she is very fast. Another example is Lan. With them, you get both a strong fighting general and a good trading general, leading to fast conquest victories. Even though Fatimah is econ, I would still rather her run around the country upgrading factories farms and cities

Trading ⭐ for combat generals: keep in mind that with high nobility two or three training stars count as 4! (not for buying items) There is no real need to give them more in trade and they even sell🔧 without loss. But to have one buyer/trader with 5⭐ in your team is very useful.

I like architecture on my econ generals as they what they will spend on upgrading the city, they will easily get back after only a single turn (extreme case - 36 gold for upgrading a city, but gaining 60 gold from the city next turn with napoleonic code). Furhermore, generals with architecture can upgrade up to 2 things in a single turn). They can very quickly boost the econ, afterwards making spamming of elite guards and training stars very easy. I do agree about the automatic 4th star that comes with high nobility.

One serious question to surprise: We focus here on +1 max attack - the ingame description for surprise is " Can increase the effect of charge with sudden attack" and for cavallary units: " ... Charge can lower enemies morale. ...". As you explained me lately very patiently the advantages of the leadership skill to avoid the moral drop, I want to ask you now: If surprise increases the effect of lowering enemies morale (charge) probably this skill has two effects! I want to know your opinion if this is correct? And: Doesn't bring the double effect a much grater value to the surprise skill?

𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘴𝘬𝘺,It's possible, but instead of increasing the chance of morale drop It does more damage due to generals that have strike or surprise are more powerful.

Strike = No evasion is the 'must have' But I'm now in the beginning of the campaign and I noticed how often the top generals cause a morale drop. If surprise raises also the chance of this drop, this makes a difference for me (IE for the attacking order) and it adds an extra value to this skill.

I just started the regular game for my second play - this time with knowledge - I still don't know all tricks. After I will play the Age of reason mod - it is beautiful! I like the realistic longer distance for artillery for example - correct counties, flags and uniforms - eben the campaign! It is just released yesterday and it will take me time to learn (my first mod ever). [ I will post more, but not in this thread because off topic ]

WOW, your first mod! I have done hundreds (sorry off topic) will, they should upgrade Napoleon's brother Joseph to have some calvery or Infantry skills with his economic master skill and add artitecture.

Although geography is also a fantastic skill on cavarly. Surprise is like a sweet cherry on the cake.

As for whether or not surprise also multitasks as a rumor type skill, I doubt it as formation nor explosives don’t affect morale. But if it does, then the skill would be pretty good

I bought a general that is charles + assualt art, lannes, washington, a general that’s cavarly massena w. good stars, and the weird geography logistics accurate general in the middle tier. I also bought Berthier but then realized how much of a pain it would be to train him and immediately regretted it. Afterwards, I will grab the arty general that is carteux + assualt art and then go for the developer princesses

Bonus generals are the best. So try to get them. Also I recommend getting Fredrick the great and Napoleon
