best75 , Singlemalt How can I upgrade things beyond lvl 1? I can only construct some barracks, stables,etc from 0 to 1. I can't find a way to upgrade to the next age either. There's a bar at the top; when it fills up, you can advance if you have enough stuff. I assume you can upgrade buildings to corresponding age after that. Yes you are right, When I played as the Romans in the First Conquest I needed tow wait 10 Rounds so I could uphrade to the next age, and then I could upgrade the Barrackses. BUT Can you upgrade Cities to get more income?

I just got upgraded to the second age. There was no green bar indicating how close I was in getting to the next age. As of now, still nothing even though I have progressed about 10 turns past when I entered the second age. At least I now can upgrade my faculties but I still have no way of upgrading cities for income, shame...

It's that black thing. It starts to have green fill up per turn.

As romans the bar filled up very fast but when i played as angkor it filled very slowly

It gonna be hard to get used to the new conquest. New features It will be harder because you cant send more than 6 Units, but I just realized attacking Doors or Towers is better XD I always attacked the walls where the towers couldnt reach, that is the solution for my failure

the base idea is great, the execution however wasn't that good.
all cities are roughly the same, why aren't there other types of battles than sieging cities.
the only variation you sometimes get are naval battles. and they are like trafalgar, surround and destroy.
i want more open battles in the field; terrain influences, so it matters what tile you're standing on; more types of troops, 1 per era is too little; all troops are worthwile, why would you use cavalry for this? more units, each which his speciality, you need them all and you need to use them right to win; but this won't be able with 6 troops only, make it more, make it 10; but definitely add more types of battles, not only sieging cities and a sparse sea battle;
the idea was amazing, but this execution gets a little repetetive, and im only halfway at my first conquest!

I hope that lack of non-seige battles concerns conquests and not campaigns NetherFreek Do you still suggest it?

I'm done with conquest mode. If I play as China I get wrecked by Persia and the Huns, if I play as Persia I get wrecked by Egypt and China, if I play as Rome I can't get ANY successful attacks because the AI has 5,000 coins per round and builds 6 units in every city. ALL of the enemy units do way more damage than mine, my generals get killed in two hits, and every country seems to have OP siege weapons. And I don't even KNOW how you can capture capitals. Towers with 3 hex range?! Come on! Oh and did I mention that every map starts me at a disadvantage? Whether it's stranded in water or blocked by mountains, it always takes me 10 turns to kill the towers.
Don't even get me STARTED on cities! I have a ram dealing 100 damage every turn for 10 turns to a city... and it has half health afterwards?! HOW? These places are impossible to kill at level 5, I don't even want to ATTEMPT a level 8 city. My generals seem to be losing health over time. Idk if they even regen health. And my income is too bad to be waging a 4 front war on impossibly strong enemies.
Please excuse my saltiness.

The cities around me only have 2 entry points at max that I own. I could just send the two waves and wait for the next round to attack again, but the AI builds another 6 units in the city! And I can't afford making 4 attack forces for one city. I'm speaking as if my units can even beat the AI units.
