If a city complies with polit-economical terminology it technically is capital, the matter if it gets official status is completely on governments shoulders and even if the official status is not given, that status can be used in some political or economical discussions if both sides agrees on such terminology, but as I said until it is recognized by government it is unofficial "if both sides agrees on such terminology." Problem is, Quintus Fabius doesn't. By definition, that status cannot be used in this discussion. XD

I got a new one. Not totally about history or geography but definitely a fail.
Today, for our Hollywood-themed Teachers Day Celebration concert, we had a guess-the-movie game segment. You had to look at the pictures (based on the words in the title) and guess the title (E.g. Picture of wonders and woman is Wonder Woman) Guess what was the pictures for Dunkirk? Map of Dunkirk? No. Map pointing/circling to Dunkirk? No. Leaflet the Germans gave to the British at Dunkirk? No. Scenes from the trailer? Yes.
That was the only movie that had scenes from the movie as the picture.

One time, I was taking notes on my AP World History textbook. There was one particular map that showed Ionia as being in the Aegean sea. I'm pretty sure that Ionia isn't a bunch of islands, because it's in the mainland.

I may have said this before but a teacher said the Ottoman empire fought in ww2...she taught world history and the other class was learning about WW1.

This keeps happening to me:
I keep misspelling Badoglio as Badoligo. Even when I see his name more than once, I always think "Badoligo".
My mind just can't wrap around the fact that his name is Badoglio & not Badoligo.

There's was this kid I don't remember his name because it was a few years ago but he thought that turkey joined the axis and his defense was that Germany and Bulgaria lost ww1 and then joined the axis so turkey lost too so they should be in the axis he ended up failing that class the whole year

I realised recently that my mind had been mistakenly registering "Dunkirk" as "Dundirk" for over a year now.
Not sure why I thought the first 'k' was a 'd' in the first place.
