I'm fine with playing as Qing, but I doubt Jean-Luc Picard would approve... I don't think Qing needs a player. It'd make sense for you to do a 1901 event to buff them, instead of actually playing as them you're right. Qing won't be able to focus on these many fronts anyway. Might just give them 100000+ troops and guns. |

I like many countries are sending troops to the boxer rebellion and a ton more too than IRL
But I see the purpose is to not just suppress the uprising but to gain colonies in china too.

Hey GM (@coolguy14)! We're decided to 'help' the Qing out with this boxer revolution. We'll send over 170k soldiers on over 250 ships, armed to the teeth. We don't consider this as overkill because we intend to make ourselves welcome in here. Can you play as the Qing, getting rekt harder than any NPC in TW or RP history of EFC's RP board? I give Desophaeus credit for this. this is why I can't stay away from this site no matter what! XD |

May I throw in my two cents on the issue? How about just take a treaty port? Like Hong Kong or Qingdao or Macao. You could take the city of Ningbo or Guangzhou in a negotiated settlement with the Chinese? Excuse me? Britain owns Hong Kong and was literally about to claim Guangzhou due to its proximity to Hong Kong. Britain doesn't care much about the other ones. I stated Hong Kong, Qingdao and Macau as examples of Treaty Ports, not open ones. |

Well don't all the colonial powers sort of enforce an ideology onto their colonies? If the colonial power is a democracy, monarchy or dictatorship, then the colonial peoples would be treated harshly and taught to obey. If they're a communist dictatorship, then communism would be enforced, if they're a fascist dictatorship, fascism would be enforced, etc. etc. Plus not to mention the mass conversions of colonial peoples to Christianity by the European Powers. What I'm getting at here, don't force the dude to give up territory he had just won and currently owns because he is trying to imperialize like the rest of y'all! I say we all just imperialize in peace...well, that is sort of an oxymoron, but you get what I mean. |
