Ok, I actually agree that it is boring. I already have Atilla, Edward and Suleiman, and this trio is so powerful that it is not exciting at all to advance through ages. Maybe, you are right... I think it over and possibly reinstall the game. I have another idea in mind: a team with 3 new faces - Lionheart, Petain and Xerxes... P.s. Actually Khalid and Heihachiro are two Art. Commanders so maybe your suggestion was Arch instead of ArtCom, wasn't it? Well, in this case I will think it over as well... I can't tell how serious you're being there Is it a powerful trio already? How good is Suleiman? I have to say I'm finding CavCom pretty tough so far, well towards the end of Empire age & the start of Discovery anyway; I don't find Edward that useful yet, but I'm hoping he'll come good later on when sufficiently upgraded... I miss Nobunaga too! I'm sure I would at least have completed more Battles by now with him in the team, and Defence missions too. Oh, and imo you can't claim ArtCom unless you have 4 artilleries I'm absolutely serious. Despite having two new generals in mind, this team is very similar to that one I had previous time. It is not very exciting just to repeat it with a couple of minor changes. I think the key in being successful with Cavalry is protection and HPs restoration. Previous time I simply sent my cavalry forward, knowing that Mocte and Caesar can easily restore the lost health points. And I upgraded their healing abilities quite early. Edward is really the weak chain, but Leadership and easy targets save him in the end. But without healers in the team I think it is not very easy to advance with cavalry. In fact I haven't ever played without at least one Cure master, so I actually don't know how to do it . Suleiman is a powerful general but his main trump is his ability to reduce damage by 40% at lvl 6. Until then Saladin can replace him thanks to logistics. On the other hand, at lvl 6 (with Rumor and damage reduction) Suleiman will be very effective, I think, in defense missions in absence of Nobunaga.

So far my cavalry generals are very powerful when fighting together, but I am a bit ahead of time, I must admit. On the other hand I bought Mocte today, so that eventually my generals will receive a healer's backup. And as I said I think it is crucial...

As in my case an interesting question is whether one Cure Master and one Armour Master are enough. To be honest I always preferred Cure Master to Armour Master. I like the idea that my generals are cured "underway", when your generals are moving from one target to the next. The problem with two Cure masters though is that it is not always possible to find a team where Caesar and Mocte can be of use together.

Another commander cannot be that bad.

Another commander cannot be that bad. I tried him last time, and from time to time he is not bad at all. But there's one problem... It is possible to find easy targets for one blue Cavalry general (Edward), but for two of them it is quite problematic. Most of the time I was forced to heal him in buildings, because his defense is far from being adequate even with Inspiration. His stats are better than Edward's, but Leadership saves Edward very well in various situations. So I can be sure that he can take care of himself. Besides Edward is an excellent choice when attacking towers and Artillery at close range. Nevertheless I think it is possible to use 3 cavalry Commanders, but only with Caesar and Mectezuma in the team. And probably with Blucher as well. Otherwise it will be a problem rather than a profit.

I had 3 archery commanders last time so know the power that comes from stacking, but it seems to me at least that there just won't be that many opportunities with cavalry. But of course that's all just theory, what was your experience in that respect?

But of course that's all just theory, what was your experience in that respect? Again it differs from one situation to another. On a flat ground it works quite well, but it is a perfect situation that we can't always enjoy. I think that the problem with trio Atilla-Edward-Asoka is not attack, but defence. One shot and you have to remove Asoka or Edward from the frontline. So you have always to find not only a free space for an attack, but a perfect order of attack as well, and that is, of course, not an easy task (especially in different circumstances). I believe that two or three lines of different unit types are more practical than a mass of generals of one unit type: - Close range fighters - Archers - Artillery. I think these lines can fight independently when necessary or support each other in other situations. It is a more flexible structure, I think. But I heard that some Chinese players completed the game with Infantry generals only: Caesar, Alex, Richard, Barbarossa, Peter, Petain, Xerxes. It is quite nice, but I have no idea how to complete defense missions in Osaka with such team

After thinking for a long time, I've decided finally what my team will be this time: I believe this team has: 1. An excellent attacking potential. 2. A decent defensive potential. 3. Two new faces for the possibile final line-ups. So here it is: Atilla-Suleiman-Edward-Blucher Moctezuma-Li Hongzhang Khalid-Heihachiro I thought it only fair to let you know I bought Suleiman the other day, so if you want to be the first here to complete the game with him then I guess the race is on I started a new job recently so I won't have as much time to play and don't expect to be too quick, but if you take too long don't say I didn't warn you

Suleiman is a quite expensive toy, so we definitely have plenty of time ahead of us

But of course I may not have got the necessary literature to upgrade when I did without him. I'm at 125 cities and the first British Empire campaign btw.
