I was playing on hard mode and I let the Soviets have Tokyo. Then they still turned hostile. Are you sure that the trigger is them NOT getting Tokyo? Seems to me like they stay allies if you take Tokyo instead of them. Nope. They become enemies either way (notwithstanding you capture Tokyo or they will do it). So the strategy should be based on this inevitable fact. I see two possible solutions: 1. Don't let them take Tokio before all other conditions for victory are fulfilled. 2. Let them and Japanese bleed to death, and with fresh troops destroy both sides after that.

The dialogue is "We have taken Tokyo! Push the Americans out!" So maybe if American allies capture it they stay friendly.

I think I remember taking it but then them taking it of me. I'm guilty off it but it pisses me off when my allies takes my empty city.

.org/] .org/] .org/] Hard mode and I captured Tokyo, the soviets captured Tokyo, my British allies captured Tokyo. All times the soviets turn hostile. I have not tried to let my American allies capture Tokyo but I am not sure how you were able to get them to capture Tokyo because they start too far north and will usually die attack itageki

The idea is to capture Tokyo as a the last one. In this case it doesn't matter whether You or Your allies captures it. As You can see Bradley is still alive. If You are fast enough to help him in the north. .org/] .org/] .org/]

I don't think you will be able to help Bradley without nearly maxed tech which I am sure most of the people here do not have.

I don't think you will be able to help Bradley without nearly maxed tech which I am sure most of the people here do not have. I completed this level (hard) long long time ago. My tank techs were far from max level. But You definetely need good generals, that's true. Anyway there is no need to wait for Bradley. Just take Tokyo after the town in the north. Here is the screen of my techs when I completed hard mode for everything up to Cold war scenarios (normal difficulty completed).

In hard mode the Russians are buffed up a lot and will be able to survive.

I've played this last scenario twice now and each time the Soviets get wiped out before they can establish a foothold on the Japanese mainland, leaving me to try and take everything.......
