I completed this mission today with 2 stars. Background: I have Vatutin with insane Panzer leader, relatively bad tech. So i moved the heavy tank gen to Nagasaki with the destroyer take it. Meanwhile i landed my artys and infantry on the unnamed city and took it by turn 4. Then i captured Nagasaki and ferried my Vatutin back near Osaka, along with my half health artys. Then i used the cruiser to destory Osaka and took it, wrecked Terauchi with my gen. Then i moved to already weakened Tokyo and took it at around turn 16. Then i spammed heavies in Tokyo until my economy stopped, then saved up. I moved all the tanks to kill Yamashita and then up to an eighth health Itageki. Killed him at around turn 23, then nuked Sapporo and then strategic bombed it to death. There ya go, 2 stars. Hope this helped somebody!

Refer to my previous guide which only requires Vatutin and bad tech.

Noooooo!!! I almost completed this mission because there was only Koiso the 3 stacked rocket artillery general left with like 5 hp and I had captured all the other cities and I just needed 1 more turn to win, I even captured Tokyo however the Soviets did not attack me because all their land troops were dead and only their navy was left but they were not hostile. My 3 stacked heavy tank was just destroyed on round 29 otherwise I would have won. So disappointed otherwise I would have unlocked 1950 scenario and conquest. For some reason all my daily tasks and invasions have disappeared even my daily wonder rewards are not given to me, have any of you experienced this problem before? That's a bit of bad luck there^^. If you upgraded the tech, your performance will improve slightly. You may want to consider getting Konev for better arty support when you land your troops and attack Hata. As for the Daily items not being given, did you turn on your internet connection before opening the WC4 app? Are your phone's date and time aligned with your timezone's actual date and time?

I play on a laptop and my WC4 version does not require wifi to play and my date and time is accurate, I would usually change the day and month using settings to instantly collect daily task rewards. I am pretty unlucky when it comes to games and I am trying this mission again and again but no luck so far, thanks for the reply anyway. This is like my 5th-10th try and you got to be kidding me, why is this mission so hard, the British and Americans (AI) get wrecked before they even land and the Soviet Union suffers from an unnecessary amount of casualties. The Japanese generals seem very overpowered and I just can't win after trying so many times! At least I am a staff sergeant now haha. [/quote]

Why is the last mission for the Axis scenario always quite easy and I got 2 stars for both conquer Europe and Time of glory but the last mission for the Allies scenario always so very hard and stressful. I barely passed destination Berlin which was a real pain for me and I can't win operation sunset, I am really excited about the Cold war era but I can't unlock it without passing this mission which is just infuriating me.

What rewards can you get by watching ads because the computer version does not give you the option to watch ads for rewards which is just disappointing otherwise I would be watching ads all day and what is racing mode?

Racing mode used to be a competitive platform for a community competition 2 years ago, but it ended, and now the racing mode is just a challenging mission that gives no rewards. Racing mode used to be a competitive platform for a community competition 2 years ago, but it ended, and now the racing mode is just a challenging mission that gives no rewards. Ads give quite a number of resources, and 15x2 medals. For generals, I recommend getting Guderian and Konev At this stage, having both is a must, especially Guderian. The added firepower should help you to force a swift breakthrough when you land on the main island. This allows you to rescue the remnants of your allies even though they are scripted to fail miserably. An earlier and quicker breakthrough should provide you with more time and material to use to win. Sell Bagramyan and Blamey when you are preparing to invest in Guderian and Konev, respectively. This should help to provide a boost in the amount of medals you have when you are grinding for both gens. __________________________________________________________ As for why Allied missions are more difficult, it may be because they are rooted on actual historical circumstances. The Germans did put up quite a fierce resistance to allied advances. Supposedly, this was exceptionally fierce against the Soviet advance. Operation Sunset, which is based on the historical circumstances of the planned Operation Downfall, was estimated to cause the Allies to take extremely heavy casualties. This and ET's priority of letting the player be the focus of the game could be why your allies are scripted to perform badly in Normal mode. However, don't feel bad about failing to clear certain scenarios such as this even with multiple attempts. This and Battle of Iwo Jima are some of the scenarios that members usually regard as having stand-alone difficult peaks.

Probably because Axis was powerful in real life. imo if it weren't for the siege of Leningrad we'd all be speaking German right now. The game probably just reflects the uphill battle the allies faced. As soon as you complete that scenario, I'd suggest saving medals for Guderian and Konev, even if means selling some of your generals.

Two things.
First, the way I dealed with this mission was to completely ignore Nagasaki for the first few turns and just go for the Japanese mainland. I sent Kuznetsov (only naval general I had at the time) on a cruiser to deal with the general there, and sent Guderian + Konev + Leeb eastward. Use a destroyer to lure the General in Osaka out of the city, and take him out with Guderian. Then ignore Tokyo (USSR will deal with that for you) and move to the north. If you have Guderian this mission isn't a problem, period.
Also, USSR does not turn against you on normal. However, on hard, no matter who takes Tokyo, they will turn against you. I don't even know why the script makes it sound like they will on normal tho.

Thanks for all these amazing replies and help and I managed to figure out why the daily tasks and invasions were not appearing and my wonder rewards not given it was just because my time was off by 5 minutes and that affected everything so now it works again. I upgraded my tech tree for artillery a little and now I am going to try the mission again but this happened, I have never seen anything like it before. Everything has disappeared, have the 4 countries all become friends and operation Sunset was canceled and the Japanese destroyed all their cities and went to live in the Ocean or Europe or something.
