I see the limit for upgrading stars of gens, but is there any limit for upgrading skills? For example, can I upgrade Zhu D to have lv4 replacement?

I see the limit for upgrading stars of gens, but is there any limit for upgrading skills? For example, can I upgrade Zhu D to have lv4 replacement? As i see there is no limit. For example i have Messe with 4 star armor skill but cannot upgraded. When i choose that skill it says "unlock: Battle of Kursk normal mode". It seems when i complete that scenario i may upgrade that skill.

You talk about abilities (stars) and there is a limit - gen has same quantity of yellow stars and some black. Black stars show maximum quantity of stars a gen can get. Sure, you can't upgrade them before you unlock that upgrade like in WC3. So that means that you can't make every gen to have, for example, 6 movement stars.
But I'm talking about skills: plain fighting, blitzkrieg and so on. Is it possible to upgrade all skills the gen has to lv4 or not?

I think if you've already unlocked the skill then you can upgrade it to max. At least, I can upgrade my Govorov's Jungle Fighting skill to lv5.

Is it possible to add Leader skill to the general who already has one? I mean for example to have both Airforce Leader skill and Fleet Leader skill. Could be very interesting for air/navy general like Yamamoto for example. To add to Yamamoto Fleet leader and Sailor(or Rumor). That will make him best hybrid air/navy general. Even when consider him as pure air he will lose to upgraded Dowding and maybe Kasselring. In pure navy mabe to Donitz only.

As long as you have unlocked the skill, you can upgrade it to level 5 assuming you have the medals to do so. You can also add more than one leader skill, so Yamamoto as hybrid navy/air is doable, although I have found air strikes to be underpowered. Anti-air defenses reduce nuke damage by quite a bit unless you upgrade nukes in tech. I do way more damage with fully upgraded Mannstein in a 3stack heavy tank than I do from a nuke strike.

Have You tested difference between air damage with and without air strike leader? Is it reasonable to think about air strike leader general in the team? Maybe it is useless. Mm?

I haven't done a lot of testing on Air Force leader yet. I just bought Yamamoto and fully upgraded him. One mitigating factor is that air defenses play a big role in how much damage you can do. Tech also makes a huge difference, although that is also true of every unit type. One other difficulty is that I haven't unlocked carpet bombing or the Air Force leader skills, so they are stuck at low levels. The leader abilities stack the damage from other skills, so if you have fully upgraded carpet bombing and you trigger Air Force leader, you are going to get a massive hit on a city. But there is no way to mitigate tank damage, so a fully upgraded tank general in a 3-stacked heavy is going to do monster numbers that can never be mitigated.

Hits in excess of 300 not uncommon when Panzer leader triggers. .org/image/dux8hxnsl/] [/url]

Their higher damage would likely cause a bigger increase in Airfare leader damage.

It is interesting how Air Force leader works not against cities but against enemy's generals, and vice versa how Panzer Leader can damage units within the city?
