This is my bucket list: First general: Messe (Bought) Second general: Leeb (Bought) Third general: Kuznetsov (Bought) Fourth general: Guderian (Yet to buy) Fifth general: Konev (Yet to buy) Sixth general: Nimitz (Yet to buy) Seventh general: Rommel (Yet to buy) Eight general: Rundstedt (Yet to buy) I got yamashita but sure rundstedt will help you too in 1980 conquest Mannerheim is also great. Give him explosives that way he’ll do the most damage possible to cities as he has jungle fighting and raider. we are as of yet unsure if inf leader triggers againsy cities. |

I thought we have established that already Haha, infantry leader only triggers against cities with units in them, but for empty cities with no units in the city leader never triggers |

Since I am not going to dismiss any of them is it a good idea to upgrade them? For example, after I finish getting all of them, I upgrade Messe.

And yes for the best skills, but don’t upgrade them all the way. Lvl 3 or 4 is fine. Just consider how well the price performance. |

You need Guderian asap though
And since u used an extra 1k+ medals buying kuznetsov and upgrading Messe, the next load of medals will be harder to earn and upgrades on cheap generals is not going to help. You must save 2935 medals for Guderian.

Imo gens in the early game don’t have to be upgraded at all. I think that’s what most people did. Because once you get Guderian life becomes so much easier and if you play a lot you can get Konev the next day as well |

In fact, with this in mind Manstein and Guderian may come into conflict with each other. It was much simpler in ew4  Guderian is anyway best non-IAP tank general with all necessary tank skills and 2 free to choose. So with or without Mainstein in the team he is top-choice. So 2nd or 3rd tank general is a big question. In my top-list (the one I posted in one of the threads) I've chosen Rommel earlier but now I see that he needs best skills to be added and even when added he won't benefit from medals - so Rommel is a long way upgrading with no boost anyway. Means I was wrong I dont agree romel is best for africa Also he can ne medal boosted and be damage dealer sometimes even better than both gude and manstein |

Rommel's terrain buffs make his base damage stronger than guderian, and similar to manstein if he's invested into his plain fighting. Rommel is also the most suited for desert battles, with Nasser coming in next, since the other generals with desert capabilities are just trash and very weak (blamey for instance) |
