What I did was get messe, Leeb and then Rundstedt at 40 percent discount, then I sold Rundstedt to get Guderian, although it took me about 2 months of grinding to get Leeb and 1 month of grinding to get Guderian. I did manage to complete almost all Pacific missions with the first 3 generals

So, I have Messe Guderian konev kutznetsov Nimitz and Rommel and have enough medals for another commander. Am considering Leeb, Rundsted or an air general (Dowding or Arnold). Rundsted has way more stars than Dowding so am wondering what the possibilities are and mostly, which of these i should get first. Almost done with the 50's scenarios and looking forward to what's next.

Inf or air-based gens are good, but unless your targets are empty cities, such specialized gens are not recommended. Remember, tanks rule this game and more or less all tanks by 1980 will have AA capability and are good anti-inf weapons. Going against tanks with gens on units weak against tanks is not a good idea.

Hi ! I'm fairly new in the game (I'm at the last mission of the WW2 Europe, Destination Berlin) and I have 2 generals : Kuribayashi and Bock. The first general I got was Kuribayashi but I find him to be quite useless since I'm mostly using artillery and tanks. Thus I wanted to ask : is it a good idea to sell Kuribayashi to get another general and if it is, then what general should I buy ? Edit : I just went through the last WW2 Europe mission and then unlocked the Pacific campaign

Hi surgeminer, happy first post and welcome to our community! To your question, since you already have bock try selling kuriyabashi and save up for leeb, an artillery general. After that purchase konev with full discount, and then save up for the best general in the game, Heinz Guderian. If you have any specific questions or doubts, please do feel free to post them and we will be happy to help! Once again, welcome here and hope to see your growth in this fun and inclusive forum!

surgeminer, sure no problem, leeb is the 2nd best artillery non iap general in the game with rumour, plain fighting, artillery leader and accuracy, and he will be very useful in helping you unlock full discount konev

Anyway thanks again for your advices no problem, yes the discount missions are very easy for all except for nimitz and rommel, where specialized generals are of big help. Have fun advancing in the game with Konev! If you need help for which general to get next, or unsure of which skills to put on konev or which to upgrade first, do post here and we will help, or if you would like a faster guide do check this thread out: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/8128/konev-discussion

Alright so I have Bock, Leeb and Konev right now as well as around 500 medals. None of my generals are upgraded but I spent 10k gold on each of them to slightly increase their hp bonus. So I was wondering what I should do now : save my medals for Guderian or upgrade my current generals ?
