Does anyone else want to set a question? It appears that Marshal is unavailable again. I was a laicized Bishop and became a politician. Due to a handicap I walked with a limp. Later many called me „the lame devil“. During my lifespan I served a republic, a dictator, an emperor and a king. Most of those I served distrusted me but found me extremely useful. My name has become a byword for crafty, cynical diplomacy. Talleyrand.

Twice in his life he was an Emperor and twice he was deposed. After that he expected to be killed but it was not his fate. His life was long enough and he was a gardener, a librarian and an editor after that. He wrote a book that was translated in English "From Emperor to citizen".

He wrote to Joseph Stalin several times asking for asylum in the Soviet Union, and that he be given one of the former tsarist palaces to live out his days. I think this request was really amusing to Stalin

He was ruler of his kingdom on three separate occasions. His regnal number was III, although he's more commonly referred to by his epithet. As a boy he and his brother were held hostage for several years to ensure his father's loyalty to the Sultan.

Correct, aka Vlad Tepes & Vlad the Impaler. I was trying not to make it too easy from the first clues but that didn't work out so well

Vlad Sepish, better known as Vlad Dracula. I once read his biography, very exciting... Correct, aka Vlad Tepes & Vlad the Impaler. I was trying not to make it too easy from the first clues but that didn't work out so well Ok, it is an easy one 1. We all know his name. 2. His regnal number was also III, but only scholars remember it. 3. His father (whose regnal number was II ) was a great military and political leader, but few know his name because his son's accomplishments simply overshadowed his achievements. 4. The murder of his father was very profitable for him, there is even a theory that he was behind this crime. 5. He never liked to be compared with his father. Once he killed his father's friend because of that. And this man saved his life in one battle.
