I’m actually done with upgrading Timo. I think he can last. His Rumor + his high movement can prove super useful. I was thinking of targeting Konev as my next general, I have a good team and enough medals to buy him. Thanks! Np. Konev is arguably the second best general in the entire game. Remember, you pretty much won once you beat the cold war campaign and the modern war conquest (everything else is too unreasonable). Once you get to the point where you exhausted your medal supply, but have everything else nailed is when you can consider starting european war 6. EW6 is just to get used to the game and farm a little or play some fun scenarios. Going to get Massena as my first general.

You can beat really far into the game just with him (of course with some upgrades). For example, the infamous Lannes VI challenge Murat with an ambulence just went in by himself and killed everybody really quickly. He even made a joke out of blucher (who was rumored for a good bit though).

Probably stronger whereas his alternatives are weaker (but ney and lan are still powerful)

Okay, back to Roko. Not bad, I just prefer going nuts with generals, but he is among the few who can have THE three panzerwaffen skills, so I'll give him that.

Even though Montgomery is more for the memes, Bernard is a strong general on his own right. He may be for the memes, but give him lvl 5 plain, lvl 5 crossbow, lvl 5 armored assualt, and lvl 5 plain fighting and try to get him out of a city. You’d have to apply Rumor to him twice, then surround the city, or apply Rumor thrice if you can’t surround him. But if the city has a Broadcast Tower, it will be like fighting Manstein in Destination Berlin Hard, or in other words, one of the most difficult fights in the game.

Especially if you have Rumor.

I like this guy. Only rokossovsky and rommel has potential to be equal to guderian. Only problem he needs a lot of medals for this. I m planning to get him as third tank commander for UN missions after guderian and rommel. What makes guderian great is he come with all necessary skills for tank commander (panz leader, armoured as.,blitz.) and give u two open slots. Rokossovsky only have one (panz leader) but rokossovsky’s other two skills r not so bad for a tank commender, too. Tide of iron is a pure tank skill (although not one of the best one) and shelter could be useful for end game because a.i uses a lot of missiles in endgame. U have two open slots for other necessary skills. Only giving him sixth tank star needs 800 medals, this makes him the most expensive general in game, but potentially, he could be one of the best general, too I like Rokossovsky, but unless you want to use him in an offensive role like Guderian and Rommel, I prefer Timoshenko. Giving Timo any of the Tank skills instead of Rumor is not recommended, but he becomes arguably the best supporting general in the game if he’s given Rumor. He can move super fast and apply Rumor to the enemy easily. Say you have Osborn on an UN mission, and Guderian and Timoshenko with Level 4 Rumor. All you need to do is have some luck for Rumor to trigger when both generals attack, which will leave Osborn with double morale loss, then send a unit above him and a unit below him to cause confusion and making him unable to retaliate or retreat. Rokossovsky is Manstein with Shelter instead of Plain Fighting, slightly slower, 5 initial tank stars and Major General rank. In other words, he requires a large amount of medals to be comparable to Manstein. Unless you don't have Manstein who is better than Rokossovsky performance-wise, it’s better to get a supporting tank general.

Mass fire was THE skill to have or else you needed to buy snare drums in Ew4, Arty barrage, Bayonet charge, and Tide of iron kind of fill this gap, but for some reason they are not preferred I like the idea, having your damage go down less with health loss

If they don’t, don’t get it. Plain fighting, rumor, blitzkrieg... are better additions

Gone eventually you will need really strong generals that can one shot cities so taking them is easier. Timoshenko will never be one of those, but rokossovsky can. But timo can be a great supporting general, where rokossovsky is comparable to guderian
