3rd tank choice nothing else if you did not buy iap Manstein...
He is way too expensive and you will have to spend a bunch of medals on him to make him effective. Panzer leader is a great skill but lvl 4 will be needed if you would like it to trigger frequently.
I don't understand why didn't they give him 6 stars for this much medals, but he can be an effective part of your team.

If Shelter is replaced with Rumour, he'd be a very good supporting & frontline attacking tank.

I like this guy. Only rokossovsky and rommel has potential to be equal to guderian. Only problem he needs a lot of medals for this. I m planning to get him as third tank commander for UN missions after guderian and rommel.
What makes guderian great is he come with all necessary skills for tank commander (panz leader, armoured as.,blitz.) and give u two open slots. Rokossovsky only have one (panz leader) but rokossovsky’s other two skills r not so bad for a tank commender, too. Tide of iron is a pure tank skill (although not one of the best one) and shelter could be useful for end game because a.i uses a lot of missiles in endgame. U have two open slots for other necessary skills.
Only giving him sixth tank star needs 800 medals, this makes him the most expensive general in game, but potentially, he could be one of the best general, too

I would like to add a couple of words about Tide of Iron. It is an excellent skill if your generals don't have Marshal's baton or purple ranks. In Modern war missions almost all of my generals had significantly less than 50% HP in the end.

However, usually either 1 of 3 situations occur: (A) You'd have too much HP to activate it (B) Your gen's HP is too low that the risk of death is not worth the dmg. (C) Your gen is unable to use it (confused/dead) I believe that's why others do not rate it as high. Plus, why have ToI, when you have AA? Nonetheless, this ToI IS a tank skill that works, so it boosts Rokossovsky's worth in the end. |

I think, that there is only one way to retain a significant number of HP at the end of any Modern war mission - and it is Blitzkrieg. My Rokossovsky had this skill boosted by a Medal. That means 90% of probability. But it is very probable that other players use boosting medals to strengthen Guderian. Therefore ToI is deffinitely a good option for Rokossovsky. B. I think it is worth it. I saw it very often using Vatutin (Tide of Iron lvl4 - PL lvl5 - AA lvl 5+medal - Plain fighting lvl 5+medal). He was my only general capable to kill a two stacked terrorists' Artillery piece with a single shot or severely damage a terrorists' general even when Vatutin had no more than 50 HP. Besides we can use Rumor before our damaged generals attack, so that they could attack without retaliation. Though my Vatutin was only a Captain, he was able to survive untill the very end. Rokossovsky (who is a M General) has far better chances to survive and make use of ToI therefore... C. Well, it is true that we can do nothing in this case  but then ToI is as useless as any other skill. Deffinitely there are better skills than ToI, but if a general already has it, - it is not that bad either... |

Tide of iron activates when the battle capabilities and defence of a unit which makes it less worth. I am not sure as I have not done the math but still the commander will be countered and defence ans dammage will be downgraded as health lowers. While at above half the dammage is very good and many first strike skills should be used then

The thing about Rokossovsky's tide of iron is the fact he is only level 1 which means it will need lots of upgrading as he is only a late game gen. Good 3rd tank gen if you get IAP to buy him and it to be worth it you need to either get medals using money/ done everything and have a spare 4000 medals for upgrades
