I believe that using 3 tank gens + 2 Artillery gens is more effective than using 4 tank gens + 1 Artillery gens because with 2 Artillery gens, you can always attack twice without fear of being retaliated. In the other case, you are only guaranteed to attack once without retaliation. That difference between non-retaliation and retaliation can decide if one of your generals is going to survive or not...

There’s also the benefit of having more Rumor, because with Rokossovsky you can’t have Rumor without sacrificing either Armored Assault or Blitzkrieg. But with Leeb/Konev, you can have Rumor together with Artillery Leader and Accuracy, and Artillery have natural non-retaliation abilities...

Interesting point you have there, stoic . However, usually either 1 of 3 situations occur: (A) You'd have too much HP to activate it (B) Your gen's HP is too low that the risk of death is not worth the dmg. (C) Your gen is unable to use it (confused/dead) I believe that's why others do not rate it as high. Plus, why have ToI, when you have AA? Nonetheless, this ToI IS a tank skill that works, so it boosts Rokossovsky's worth in the end. A. I think, that there is only one way to retain a significant number of HP at the end of any Modern war mission - and it is Blitzkrieg. My Rokossovsky had this skill boosted by a Medal. That means 90% of probability. But it is very probable that other players use boosting medals to strengthen Guderian. Therefore ToI is deffinitely a good option for Rokossovsky. B. I think it is worth it. I saw it very often using Vatutin (Tide of Iron lvl4 - PL lvl5 - AA lvl 5+medal - Plain fighting lvl 5+medal). He was my only general capable to kill a two stacked terrorists' Artillery piece with a single shot or severely damage a terrorists' general even when Vatutin had no more than 50 HP. Besides we can use Rumor before our damaged generals attack, so that they could attack without retaliation. Though my Vatutin was only a Captain, he was able to survive untill the very end. Rokossovsky (who is a M General) has far better chances to survive and make use of ToI therefore... C. Well, it is true that we can do nothing in this case but then ToI is as useless as any other skill. Deffinitely there are better skills than ToI, but if a general already has it, - it is not that bad either... I believe you shouldn’t use all of your tank medals for just one tank general if he isn’t your only general that has that role, such situation being essentially impossible. You can turn Guderian into a powerhouse, but then your other tank generals are going to be weak compared to him. The point of having various tank generals is having various powerful generals on which you can rely on, and for example send each on a separate front. To accomplish that, each of then need to be quite powerful. Otherwise, you’re going to have to send your powerhouse to various fronts, which will not only slow you, it will also make it easier for the enemy to mount an attack or counterattack. In my opinion: Guderian should be given the Blitzkrieg Medal to compensate for the fact that he has the lowest HP by default of all the top tank generals (Him, Manstein, Rokossovsky and Rommel). Given that Rokossovsky is the only top tank general other than Manstein that starts with Level 3 Panzer Leader, I would give him the Panzer Leader Medal. Rommel, then, should be given the Armored Assault Medal. If you do have Manstein, give him the Armored Assault Medal instead and have Rommel with only the Crossfire Medal. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Seems to me you're better off getting Vatutin and upgrading him. He's got more punch and with the medals you save on Roko you can do more. I will either get Vatutin or buy Manstein for my third tanker to go with fully augmented Rommel and Guderian.

That's likely my plan somewhere into the cold war. Thanks!

It's a definite no on Roko. He's just not someone I can justify the medals for.

I agree it's too bad on Manstein, Eisenhower, and Zhukov that ALL their skills are already set. For top generals that you pay real money for you should have a choice on some of their skills. Game has some screwball skills on generals too. Mannerheim has level 3 jungle fighting. Lots of jungle in Finland. HA!

Just bought Rokosovsky. Upgraded the nameplate to red, and I’m planning to give him armored assault and blitzkrieg. Or should I swap Blitz for rumor?

I would make Rommel have rumor with Assault art so he can make other generals especially the aliens go into chaos.
