Infantry is good because they are very cheap to spawn and can do a lot of damage. But later on I agree, artillery has a lot of advantages to infantry. Probably entry to late game though (very late game is when infantry sux), massena is a solid general who can take us really far into the game along with murat. I guess I am in that very late game then! But no, infantry isn't much cheaper than cavalry imo. Line infantry has the same price as light cav, and riflemen and grenadiers have around the same price as a lancer. and inf has the lowest attack stats on average + a really mediocre weapon type. Eh, i dunno, if inf is bad in the late game, how come they're good early on? Line infantry is really good at defending cities, grenadiers are really good at destroying cities, machine gunners are really fast and great at destroying artillery, and militia is best at holding cities. Plus massena is super cheap and good while you have to buy someone like murat to get the same quality for cavarly.

Most of the time, anything will get destroyed when alone. Except strong cavalry gens, but they still eventually fall, just a matter of time before they do. Umm, no. My Murat with Ambulance can last the whole Conquest and still finish it with full HP. He’s invincible for the enemy.

Nope, riflemen are better, and move faster. For me its either intantry if I am cheap, line infantry if I am in a pickle, and grenadiers if I need them to capture cities. I feel grenadiers are way better for not much of a price difference

I still think that infantry is worse than cavalry. Cavalry can fight better because they have better defense and action economy, they can still siege because cold weapon is better than musket + high atk stats, they are faster, and they are just as costly as infantry. The reason why I use infantry is rather because they're accessible, sometimes I can't build a stable because the enemies will destroy it, and its better to spawn infantry at the front instead of cavalry 3 turns away from the front.

Agreed. Lancers are the best spammable offensive unit. Machine gunners also aren’t bad.

I agree. Even though Infantry here is far better than WC4, cavalry is the best class. There are people that either get 3 Infantry generals and 2 cavalry generals or that get 3 cavalry generals and 2 Infantry generals. I’m with the latter.

They have practically identical skill sets and will work very well together.

I just need to give him the flintlock pistol, max his rank, level all of his skills up to 5, then elevate him to King rank and give him a medal.

Imagine someone that buys Blucher, then gets Massena, then uses the medals from the Tutorial and Declaration of Independence to buy Mahmud II.
