Why sell murat? He is the best general in the game. He hits harder than blucher. He has 4 skills work well against any unit. Than there is manuever, that almost never triggers even at 100% Yeah, why selling Murat, right? Maneuver only doesn’t trigger because you hardly encounter barriers. But I can imagine those things being annoying. Agreed. Bugle was good in european war 4, but battle array/formation their counterparts in ew6 and gcr are bad due to their lack of appearance.

kevin I kind of got bored with playing no iaps (I could have punched a lot further than british empire but I missed my blucher). So I have all the slots as well the 3 iaps. Should I buy paget to give him a chance out of boredom.

I'm pretty sure his consistent damage is actually better than Davout since Paget vs Davout is essentially Surprise Attack vs Station and Riding Master. Surprise attack is supposed to be +8-20% damage depending on movement which can easily make up for Pagets lower stats. Davout is for sure stronger when he crits on a building tho, but that's if he's actually crits when he's on a building... Also, Paget is a little frailer because of prince, so keep that in mind. He's also way cheaper. Also I might be sleeping on Tactic master, 1/5 odds aren't too bad at all. just imagine that you're playing a campaign that lasts 15 turns, chances are that it activates three times on average, maybe even more if you're lucky. And activating it is basically double damage on a turn, massive. But yeah, Pagets an interesting guy, lets see if he's actually great in practice.

I agree. With 3 aura buffs, I imagine paget being a very good accessory. But with davout, I was thinking that he could defend temples while also healing on them.

Fortunately, Rumor is inexistent as a general skill and the units that do have it have a pretty low chance of activation, so Davout won’t perform bad defensively.

He has solid stats and good skills too. The issue is that defensive generals are really not needed in ew6 as you can just put a line infantry there and it will not move, unless under massive pressures. However, is surprise really better than riding master and station together? Riding master alone is a skill that as we have seen on infantry can make a weak general strong. Or is Ney simply better than both due to his plain fighting.

For SolidLight, Riding Master + Plain Fighting is better than Riding Master + Tactics Master because he dislikes relying on RNG. I also prefer Plain Fighting over Tactics Master. I believe that most people will agree that Ney is better than both since he has less reliance on RNG and has a much more constant terrain bonus. As a bonus, he can reach King. Ney is also somewhat cheaper than Paget and much more cheaper than Davout, costing almost 1000 less medals than the latter.
