No, I don't consider Punic wars as conquest. It is literally a "speed run" I am glad I collected all rewards, and I doubt that I will replay it in the future Putting your generals on crappy units and leroy jenkins is not fun, but hey, at least the rewards are nice No way I would play all these pitiful tribes with two units if not the rewards. I really think they should have done Punic wars at least on a scale they did Caesar's wars.

Or at least make replaying them reward medals each time, doesn’t have to he a huge sum, just anything

But we will see more interesting conquests with better rewards. I would rather play an interesting new conquest than Netherlands/Macedon 101 times...

Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, The talent of Serotorius dont increse the defense in 100%, is only 10%, i probe this with labienus, he have 20 of defense and when the talent active he reach 22 points of defense.

How do You know talent is active? It will probably not be shown in the stat screen at all, as it only activates when being attacked. The defence is also increased one point every time the unit is levelling up. You are probably confused with this effect.

But i dont notice a difference when the talent is active when i attack my labienus receive the same damage. When You attack, You receive same damage when counterattacked You mean? Probably the talent only works for direct attack. IDK. Could be it is not applied for counterattack and shouldn't. Even though it triggers with no effect. Bug?

andrei, I receive the same damage when i attack and when counterattack although the talent triggers. You can prove this in the mission Battle of Sabis, in this mission you can control Labienus.

I cant tell if you are joking or being serious with Sertorius. I must be missing some hidden mechanics with sentry, because that talent looks trash tier to me. 15% chance to increase defense, I assume double like the crappy item counterpart? On heavy infantry with both possible defense upgrades in tactics they have a base 18 defense. Sentry will on average trigger once every 6-7 engagements. Lets be generous and say every 6, thats an overall gain of 3 defense, less when on lower tier units. That is beyond laughable, he may as well not have a talent. What am I missing here that makes you think this talent is good, or comparable to Crassus crit? Formation is also trash tier, may as well only have 3 skills, but he does have it, and it is calculated into his cost. If you try to defend this skill, then I will know for sure you are joking lol. As for intercept, it does not pair well with siege like tunnel does for city cracking. Going after archers because of intercept negates the damage potential from counterattack when they inevitably attack you the following turn. So no synergy there either. So overall what do we have? Sertorius is 98 medals cheaper, but he's 1 rank lower, meaning less damage bonus as well as only stacking up to 4 units instead of 5. I don't know the exact cost but general to marshall is 380, so I will assume legatus to general is more than 98. Siege is also 2 levels lower, so factor that cost into a comparison, and of course he has 3 levels of a worthless skill as part of his cost. That leaves us with a general who is more expensive to reach the same basic damage bonuses, while not being as good a city cracker, has less mobility, less crit chance....all in exchange for doing more damage to archers.... My point in this long winded rant, is that honestly I don't believe you actually have this guy on your team lol. I think you are either joking around for fun, or just like arguing with people. In fact I refuse to believe anyone is using this guy unless I see photos for proof . No really, if anyone uses this guy I want to see pics lol. And if someone does have him do you know what the cost is from legatus to general?

I just did not realize it was that bad. I just honestly accepted that it was honestly pretty good. As for sertorius, you are right. I wouldn’t purchase him any time soon. If that talent is really as bad as everyone says it is, then sertorius is just a slower and weaker version of crassus, who happens to have intercept. Its just the description of the trait is very vague. Good discovery everyone.

You can also check it in the sertorian war, where we are studying the man in question obviously. I don’t see it triggering either

I tested it in the battle of Carrhae. Labienus (has a scale Armor) attacks Cassius. The damage received: - (without talent is activated) 88-110 points. - (talent triggered) 73, 80, 72, 82. So, it is not a bug, but not very impressive either (only 15% to trigger). The problem why we don't see any significant difference when fighting against common troops is that the talent (probably) can reduce the damage to lowest possible number of points, and common troops without generals already deal the lowest possible damage to your generals.

I take it doesn’t stack. Not the worst skill, but definitely one that leaves a lot to be desired
