Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, shield wall triggers pretty frequently, as long as you have the skill Lvl of course. Besides, infantry with damage is great, but replacing tunnel with shield wall is makes Crompey hard to kill.

Plain fighting may be more expensive, but it is 80% of counterattack and works when attacking and defending. Shield wall is worth considering, but the fact that I had spartacus with it at lvl 5 and it did not trigger consistently is not very convincing. Pf and counterattack together do sound great though

Pf and counterattack together do sound great though Shield wall + hide + infantry commander + siege. Where's your God now? Trading offense for an all around build. Shield wall procs consistently for Pompey, and he has a Lvl 4 one. It's a 1/5 chance, and attacking more means it procs more. Hide for the anti archer, infantry commander for double attacks, and siege for just city destruction. I mean, with infantry commander + shield wall, you'll be hitting the enemy for 200+damage while taking less than 50 if shield wall procs

An all around general , invincible and painful, like the original dictator and his proscription lists

Inf Commander + Intercept + Hide + Roar, aka the god of killing archers. Although I do like the terrain bonuses. The general you described is quite decent.,

I mean I do like hide, but i would not sacrifice it over a terrain bonus. Or march/siege tho Never saw infantry gens as the offensive type. I see them as more supportive units who are good at all, but not exceptional at anything. That's why I'm willing to trade 20 damage for 20 less damage taken.

I decided at last that he got jf instead of advantage. But I'm unsure about the item he should get, more hp is okay but he is mostly sitting on bowmen and can replenish every second city.

I’d rather have them crit so hard they don’t take retaliation. Especially needed in killing archers. I usually send spartacus after generals like caesar or octavian, and he almost one shots them in a single turn.
