You can now use Cuban war to farm book/silver medal and Hero Medal.
is cuban war the only way to farm books? You can farm book in all historical campaigns. You'll get nothing ~20% of the time, book ~53% of the time and other special items ~27% of the time. The "other special item" for 1st Balkan War and Russo-Turkish War is gold medal. The "other special item" for for Austro-Prussia War, Cuban War, 2nd Balkan War and Battle of Verdum is silver medal. The "other special item" for Franco-Prussia War, Battle of Isonzo and Battle of Marne is Medical Supplies (+25% HP). |

Wow, very interesting... So it is posible to farm a history battle more than once? Thx mates! And I understand now that strike and surprise is thinking on history mode. I didn't use textbooks yet so still on time to check  Till now, I am actually using Nikolaevich as a "dancing princess", just maxing his aura straight to level IV: +16% def / two squares, instead of 10% / there squares from the city that it is given by the princess. Ended seventh camping and he was indeed not always needed. My core is Molkte - Jackson - Besseler - MacArthur, Vazov is usually first support but Nikolaevich gives me a very original resource, for example when there are many generals to deploy and low economy but good army to support. Also when there is not space for a third arty (Horne till now) in those missions where Philip or Bojovic will just die without doing much... Niko last longer, helps others to last longer and because he barely fights, I find him many times free to help with morale advantage, ocupying that stategical building, etc. He can also easily be an strategical sacrifice due to his high movement. I have to go now, so I just drop it... I used him once on secondary infantery from start, in a mission where I was finding difficulties with other set ups. That made me observe that cav ability only affects to attack % so it doesn't change much to the role I am using him till now, just the speed. Looking forward to check that history mode because I am considering a funny long term idea... what about an Infantery Commander on light cav... or even a full focused Commander with there auras? XDD |
