I see. So artifacts are really game changing. I should play the game first before asking more questions. Thanks for answering my questions In fact, it could be even more complicated Hard mode Gunpowder and Industrial age campaigns were released only yesterday, so no-one knows for sure yet how to approach them best of all. My experience tells me that Archers are better in AI-controlled battles, but nothing could be compared with the power of unleashed cavalry if we personally control things on the battlefield. Early campaigns are relatively easy, so you can enjoy life up to discovery age normal mode I'm more of a cavalry gal myself, so cavs ftw. Haven't played the game yet due to me testing Greece challenge conquest for 1865 to get over the conquest guide, and so far it's been a head ache.

My first run was with 4 infantry generals, and it was fun too. One good thing is that our income of medals is sufficient enough to experiment with different generals and equipment.

You're talking about EW5 right.

Nice. I know we're speedrunners, but i was quite concerned that you might've developed masochistic tendencies if you were talking about my EW6 adventures. Hopefully EW5 isn't challenge conquest type of frustrating. Rng is brutal in challenge conquests for 1 star nations with bad starting units and bad economy.

Oh, EW5 conquests are boring and pretty straightforward. Some players say they are fun, but I don't have any idea why they think so But the last one is really challenging with good rewards. Take into account that you have to complete all of them one after another. For example, you get a legendary sword as reward for completing Gunpowder age conquest in less than 60 turns ( this one to be precise ). But you won't be able to get your sword until you complete all previous stages as well.

Hey guys, since i've been burnt out playing GCR and EW6 1914(but i still have to update guides), i decided to start playing this game for the purpose of reviewing the guides along with being a stress reliever. What are the best early game advice you can give me to make the early to late game smooth? I heard that this game is more end game focused, so i'm quite curious how different it is from other games, aside from the graphics of course. Further to the great advice you've already received, here's my 2p: You'll need a first 8 team for the regular game and a second squad of at least 4 for the Hard Mode campaigns where you can field up to 12 gens (this is the maximum as far as Discovery but Gunpowder and Industrial are still TBC). This thread on princesses is worth reading: linkShameless self-plugging here, but you might like a visual guide to the generals: linkAs you've said you're a "cavalry gal" you should buy Attila as your first general. Leadership is the second most important skill after Commander imo so make sure you have at least 1 general with this skill in your team.

Early campaigns are relatively easy, so you can enjoy life up to discovery age normal mode I'd say that an important note is that even when concentrating on a specific lineup, you absolutely need support from the other unit types as well, because terrain can be much more restrictive and unit advantages/resistances mean that you can't always rely on just one unit type to succeed. I've been having a lot of luck with your "lines of attack" system, with a CavCom front line with arch & arty backup.

Another thing
It is recommended that you try to move an era above the campaign era.
(Ex:if you are in the medieval era try that at least one or two of your generals are from the Empire Era)

Some more basics if they can help Upgrade leadership, comm, braveness to at least lvl 6 Logistics bugle and inspiration to lvl 8 is better imo. There are few tips here and there given in game playing with exact strategy can make u win with low troops too however some lvl are difficult due to mechanics u accidentally trigger. In some matches it is better to play two times to get intel then plan and play. For example in first age(classical) Alexander campaigns, u dont have to do anything desperate cause our ai frnd is too op. In caesar(from same age) u have to ignore one objective to slow its destruction and take other objective first(ibro river). In same caesar campaign, different lvl,u have to split ur army so first u must try checking the map. U will find taking cav to top, arch to bottom and two supporters switching here and there are better.
