1. support to their ally: Tie (italy win maybe) first, let talk about italy: 1. they support the german in north africa: afrika korp mostly italians, and the italy navy support german alot (even through they mostly dead to royal navy) 2. they send divisions to eastern front, those divisions are bad and lack of supplies and armored but at least they are there not like japaneses who literally ignore german request( attack soviet) and go straight to dutch oils ok let compare to the japanese 1. they completely ignore ribbentrop request to attack the soviet 2. They dont send troops to fight with the german and they dont provide german anything(lack of resource ofc) 3. but they help drag attention of a hugh US forces to fight them instead of german (even through USA plan mostly focus on europe theatre) and remember, USA throw 3 millions troops+ at the pacific war in 1945 so this is a tie or the italy win maybe
2. betray their ally: italy win in term of amount of betray actually, they start betraying in 1940 when mussolini literally approve a contact of providing 400 airplanes to the royal airforce and you all know the famous case in 1944 when they betray german and the japanese doesnt even betray german ( you know it) so pretty sure japan win ig

Italy was more helpful. It distracted huge amount of British resources which could have been used against Germany. (Britain was already in state of war with Germany)
If Italy would have been allied with Britain, France wouldn't have fallen and Germany would have lost the war by 1941-42.

France would still have fallen but slower but the Italian army don't have enough competent General to lead a good army

As Many others have say but i would quote Napoleon on this one:
If you build an army of 100 lions and their leader is a dog, in any fight, the lions will die like a dog. But if you build an army of 100 dogs and their leader is a lion, all dogs will fight as a lion

Germany would have been completely outnumbered and alone (maybe except Slovakian puppet state). Germany would have been spread too thin to successfully attack France.

Too thin?If the germans see that Italian were incompentent(not soldier) then they just need to send two division or at least 50 or 70 thousand man there defend or attack and the French generals were also not very compentent at their job(not all generals)
