Bennigsen is a general that easytech hates with a passion haha. He is certainly no exception in ew4. If he was a ney with assualt art instead of siege, I would actually be happy with that change. But ugh, he is an abomination.
Sebastani is one of the strangest generals in the entire game. And he honestly isn’t all that bad either. He might make the yellow cut as he doesn’t waste any skills. But also ephinstone is no diez and 310 medals is not hard to grind.
The other extremely weird general is qajar. While he is better than Fatimah if given the napoleonic code, and he can also command navy units which is nice, his starting stars are terrible haha. If maxed, he could be potentially a decent general. But maxing him is maxing berthier, but with a slightly above average product instead.
Oh yeah, the other one I had no idea how to feel about was Klenau. While nobleman and war expert are appreciated on cavarly, he has no output skills whatsover. Making him meh. I guess he has some use but not a lot.

But then again, just buy that gen in the first place I guess

I can sea the hype for collingwood. He is grouchy minus engineering.
Still despite him having good stars, I don’t think he is worth it. I would rather just give a firetruck to ushakov. Ushakov with 2 stars + accuracy > Collingwood w. 4 stars in arty + ballistics

Ushakov with 2 stars + accuracy > Collingwood w. 4 stars in arty + ballistics I initially bought him as a 2nd navy gen, behind Ushakov. But because I never bothered to regroup Ushakov to 4-5* on artillery (and Collingwood starts off with 4) I just made Collingwood my 3rd artillery gen and gave him the 5th artillery star Its not like he's a bad general or a waste of medals at least. If you buy him you will use him from time to time

Imo Kate is exactly the same but better on navy (helsmann) so she is better imo. Same with Ushakov who has a 5th navy star and accurate. Collingwood is getting a yellow rank though. He definitely is a decent buy, but other generals like hood or ushakov are much better on the artillery side while kate is much better on the navy side.

If you want an infantry general so badly, either get zakrevsky or wait for the princesses. If you want cavarly, Sulkowski, Raevsky, or Golitsyn (or Berthier if you are brave) are the way to go.

Surprise is actually a pretty great skill against fortresses. As the difference between Ney and Murat is pretty great in magnitude, as the effect of surprise is also multiplied by 50% by spy. But Savary starts out with pretty bad stars, so Sulkowski is definitely the go to general if you want a fort cracker. Ney is decent but Sulkowski is a cheaper yet more effective upgrade

I still ranked them both together as green. Savary has bad starting stars. And imo surprise <= siege. Imo rather than getting savary, I would just go get Berthier. Because they are both medal dumps but berthier is way better.

Ney and Sulkow on Cav, Sophia and Isabela on arty (with Collingwood as backup) Dobeln for inf, and Ushakov and Collingwood and Kate on navy
