Eh. I still ranked them both together as green. Savary has bad starting stars. And imo surprise <= siege. Imo rather than getting savary, I would just go get Berthier. Because they are both medal dumps but berthier is way better. Fair point. I'm kinda throwing things out there, though my setup is fine as is. Ney and Sulkow on Cav, Sophia and Isabela on arty (with Collingwood as backup) Dobeln for inf, and Ushakov and Collingwood and Kate on navy So 8 generals. Imo your artillery side and navy side is overcrowded as ushakov and collingwood can do both. Your infantry side is pretty meh iβd say. Imo iβd say go for Sakurako (then Lan). 1812 Britain is a good place to get both.

Another good one is the Coalition Dispute where you play as France, you gain tons of medals and achieve a victory that wasn't achieved.

I don't get Why Lasalle is green and Wellesley is blue. Lasalle is so OP with War Horse and Snare Drum, plus 5 stars in cavalry and moving AND all cavalry skills AND sailor (super useful). Wellesley has only 4 stars on infantry and has NO infantry skills unless you count Bugle. Well, leadership makes him higher compatibility of Rowland, but he still sucks. Banner is not a good skill unless you have loads of medals to waste. Economic Master and Banner just makes him a vertasile defender of a city.
In conclusion: Lasalle is good and Wellesley sucks. Lasalle MUST BE BLUE and Wellesley MUST BE BELOW blue.

After the arrival of wangchengxy 's damage formula, things are going to change a lot. So I am going to write a new analysis. Group: Group1, the best. Group 2, also the good ones. Group 3, not very good, but still fine. Group 4, normal, but at least not "bad". Group 5: they are too bad to mention.Tier-3:Group-1: Lannes: An infantry focused fireman. Fast and not afraid of terrain. s/l can help him overcome evasion problem.
Lannes is FAST? NOT AFRAID OF TERRAIN? You are so noob at this game πππ Lannes has only 1 star on moving AND Geography doesn't affect the damn speed of infantry

Lasalle is awesome right out of the box, however, there's zero space for him to improve, making him not that much different from Golitsyn if you don't fill the last slot with him. Wellesley is a quality general. Bugle is a top combat skill and leadership on infantry and artillery is just awesome. It takes an enormous amount of logistical support to make him the best infantry general, but an adequate amount will make him competitive depending on the player's style.

My fault for saying not afraid of terrain since he doesn't possess Bugle. But he is fast on other units and that is a big selling point of Lannes.

!!! LULOLFMAOOOOOOOO Let's give a round of applause to Mr. Elphinstone for making our generals amphibious, shall we? Poniatowski on cavalry is no more than Lannes with Fireproof. The only unit which Poniatowski will have a significant advantage compared to Lannes is navy (assuming we don't put them on forts).

It's tough to compare trained and untrained generals. Items also make a big difference because they operate as surrogate training Stars and special abilities.
My experience in game is that Lannes lack of training Stars was a big problem and Poniatowski had mixed skills, geography is useless for infantry which seemed his top skill. A city defender like Wesley is only useful to the AI.
I've never used tier 1 generals outside of in game scenarios so I can't speak on their performance post training and using Items.
