Randomly? Isn't it just one or two fixed waves?
Plus, unless one is an IAP or an intensive F2P player, we're unlikely to have either unlocked or strengthened.

The units reflect how high you units lvl. Like fighting your own units. Its good if you have them no lvl. the reinforce unit is random chinese mercenary Before update its fix to lv12-13 which is hard given the chinese units have the advantageous skill(able to attack 2/3, have high damage)
Use wardrums.

Manzikert is actually quite an unbalanced battle. It is pretty easy for East Roman side, definitely doable without any war drums. Besides, you can hire as many Varangians as you like. But fighting for Seljuks is a bit tricky, because buffed Roman generals can take your city in one turn. Plus our "special" units are not that impressive. Yet it is not nearly as "drum-consuming" as Hastings.

Absolutely, actually quite refreshing and enjoyable compared to the ubergrind spamfest of other battles. Well done ET. Still needed just a sprinkle of drums to achieve S (A no pb without drums), which I guess is fair enough given my medium level of advancement in the game.

Just for laughs, I think someone messed with the Battle of Chálons. A pity that it was fixed by the latest update(s).

best75, how many drums did you cough up for the Tang side? By Turn 8, you're about to be surrounded and wiped out. Playing as the Abbasid Caliphate is depressing because the Tang have a 20% status boost (eg. Maodao at its base should have 500 HP but the enemy's boasts 600HP) on top of secretly reinforced common troops (no golden outline) and spam. My gens (with medium lvl special units) are simply blinked out by common mobs.

Do daily rewards depend on which of the two Missions you do first in each battle? I just Finished abbasid khalifad in battle of talas and receice a golden pass coin as daily reward. Cannot See this reward in the Screenshot posted at the beginning of this thread.

Has anyone proven that Hastings can be fought as a War Drums-free battle yet?

Has anyone proven that Hastings can be fought as a War Drums-free battle yet? It is easily done without war Drums after talent system was introduced. Murad and Subutai are OP generals in this mission. They can destroy all elite units indirectly. After that it is an easy run.

But I heard that ET gives the enemies all the available talents while players struggle to unlock / upgrade them. Isn't that detrimental? Plus, I'm fairly sure the enemy's elites use tents which may negate what little dmg our troops and the gens' skills deal.

Not all of them have tents, and don't forget about 10 points of moral drop with each attack. And most of the units are generic swordsmen, pikemen, archers etc and that makes their talents irrelevant while it is possible for players to hire 2-handed swordsmen in the castle who have excellent stats and talents in comparison.
