France 1815 is one of the easiest conquests in the game. I beat it in 33 rounds. Let me guess, if there wasn't that one ship and or Egyptian unit you could've gotten Lan? Without Egypt, yes.

That is why I hate 1815 speed runs. Those African countries.

I actually had to use a general to start sailing to Egypt from turn 1, limiting my battle capability in Europe. Luckily France is equipped with many so that's why it doesn't limit you too much. The journey to Egypt is just way too long. Especially if you forget to move the guy in the middle of the sea.

That sounds horrid, and unaffordable given the generals I had then (Brueys, Carteaux, Deroy).

I'm retrying France 1815. Instead of sending one of my own generals, I sent Perignon and the light artillery next to him to Egypt from turn 1. It's now turn 13, and he's just leveling with the Egyptian half of Tripoli. My estimate is he'll get there at turn 18 and have 12-14 turns to clean up Egypt.

At my games Egypt is always a tricky part but i useually handle it by playing as Turkey The problem with the Ottoman Empire and Egypt is that if you use a general for it you just wasted that one general that you could now be invading Russia with so Egypt takes a lot of time. Tbh the only good rushing nations for 1815 are France and Austria. If GB had Corfou (like in RL) then it would be incredibly good for rushing.

Curfou could even be a city 1 minor. Just its existence would be enough to make GB a 70 turn nation into a 30 turn nation
