Manstein.
I picked up Eichelberger today.
This is what I'm thinking of possibly doing :
Manstein Tank 1 Guderian Tank 2 EC Tank 3. Max Out EC as far as possible to compliment tank team.
(I Don't have Ace Commander yet.)
Eichelberger Arty 1 Zhukov. Arty 2 Govorov. Arty 3
Hartman Air Eisenhower Air
Kretschmer Navy.
I don't know if it's a mistake but I think I would rather have the EC tank instead of using Hoth as the third Tank.
Should I be making a artillery EC first instead of the tank or go ahead and make the EC tank first to go along with Manstein and Guderian?
Will that work OK?

purtylee You don't need any additional generals besides the ECs now, but "for fun" is always a good enough reason. That being said, legion medals will better strengthen your squad than additional IAP generals. You get 4 level 4 legion medals in challenge conquests, and you won't get the fourth until you pretty much finish the game. Your tank generals will benefit a lot from higher level expropriation. The order of skills for EC doesn't matter. As you have enough artillery generals, just go straight to tank. 2 tanks and 1 infantry. Keep in mind that tank ECs need level 2+ expropriation and infantry either needs cooperative defense or level 2 camouflage clothing. It's not a mistake to drop Hoth. He can't make it into the endgame starting squad anyway. Not sure why you didn't get Pyramids from 1939 Japan. Did you do the regular or challenge conquest? You have to do it in regular mode.

Manstein,
Thank you so much for your help and advice.
When I build the EC, I was wondering if it mattered which order you placed the skills, ie.... Plains fighting, Blitzkrieg, Tide.. Etc., Do certain skills need to be placed first before others in order maximize efficiency of the EC General. I am getting ready to build the first tank. Reading your guide.
I'm not sure if my question was worded very well and if it sounded like I was asking the order of which type of EC to build first.
To verify, what I'm asking is does it matter which order you place the skills when you build the ec, ie... Plains fighting, blitzkrieg, tide Etc..
I understand from what you're teaching me I need to really put some emphasis on doing the conquests to pick up medals.
I agree with you that it's better to spend the medals on things that will help the squad become stronger, rather than getting more buying more Generals.
I was in challenge mode instead of regular mode and that's why I didn't get the pyramids. I went back and did the conquest in regular mode and I picked up the pyramids.

Ace commander always has the highest priority for ECs. Start off with everything level 2 for best cost efficiency, the upgrade them gradually. Tank: plain > inspiration = explosives > skill of your choice Infantry: max out organization, then plain > explosives > skill of your choice

Manstein,
Thank you so much again, that's great information. You have always been very helpful for me in this game.
What I'm wondering does it matter which order you place the skills?
Does the order that you place the five skills have any effect on the efficiency of the general?
This question came up years ago when I played.
I looked and searched back through the forums and found the discussion from back then.
It wasn't answered very clearly by those involved in the discussion back then.
One answer made it sound like the order the skills are placed, could affect damage, if you didn't place the skills in a correct order.
While another person said no it has no effect.
As always I really appreciate all your help and want to say thank you.
What I'm wondering is does the order that you place the skills matter?

The order doesn't matter, but some skills (for example plain fighting) have higher priority than others so it would be beneficial to give the ECs those first.

Manstein,
Thank you very much.
I'm trying Operation Blitzkrieg and made it through London. I noticed that it blanks out my best generals the last few missions.
Manstein, Eichelberger and Guderian not availabile.
I didn't even stand a chance going after Washington. I need to be able to beat Eichelberger there to get the desperate skill
I'm guessing that Easy Tech expects us to be using full EC generals by then?
Lots to learn lots to learn. There's a lot of new challenges to the game now.
I'm thinking for EC tank,
Plain fighting Explosives Blitzkrieg? or Tide of Iron Desperate or Inspiration? Ace Commander
I noticed if we try to switch out a skill we lose 80% of the Medals spent for that skill set.
I would kind of like to build EC Tanks in a way so that I'm not having to delete a skill and saving metals.
Of course doing that means not buying the full skill set and the general will be weaker until the last two empty skill sets get filled with I guess inspiration and Ace Commander.
So basically I would be running with plane fighting, and explosives, and maybe a third skill either Tide of iron or Blitzkrieg depending on which one is the best to keep.
So it looks like for now I build the tank ECs with Plain fighting, and explosives.
Then maybe either Tide of iron or Blitzkrieg.
This would leave two skill slots empty.
In the past those last Three slots would have went to Blitzkrieg, than two of either Anti Armor, supply, City fighting, or Panzer leader. Two of those 4 would have filled the last 2 Spots, if I remember correctly.
I wish Easy Tech would have allowed us to change skills without it costing a loss of medals.
I'm almost tempted to buy the special bundle that's offering 20,000 medals Plus resources. It's pretty expensive though.
It seems like a nice bundle, though it is expensive. I don't know if there's a certain bundle that rotates through the shop that's a really good one to get.
Thank you again for all your help help and instructions.

The generals are not available because they died in previous levels. If they die they won't be available in the following levels in operations. I think your generals are good enough and it's more of a tech issue. Upgrade your tech. For Washington, kill Spaatz asap at all costs and the rest isn't that hard. Inspiration is a must for tank EC, desperate isn't. For the last one I picked blitzkrieg, but you are free to choose tide or anti-armor if you want to. I never pay attention to the non-general IAP packages so unfortunately cannot offer any good tips there, but resources can be farmed with minimal effort.

Manstein,
What do you think are the best skills to use while waiting to pick up inspiration and Ace Commander?
Plains Explosive
Those two are definite.
What would be the most effective Build to use prior to getting inspiration in Ace Commander.
I'm thinking of going Max HP at Marshall Maximum movement
Plains. Max Explosive.Max
Blitzkrieg possible?? Tide??
, what would be the best build to do for now until I get the last two skills?
Supply seems useless..
And to think I used to have this down very well. It's all different now with the new skills and medals.

Manstein,
Somebody advised me not to go above 170 HP on artillery generals. That is M. General rank
They said if you keep them at 170 hit points they won't get targeted for nuke. I've never heard of this before.
I'm finding at 170 HP my artillery generals don't make it through the conquest.

I've never heard of this before. I'm finding at 170 HP my artillery generals don't make it through the conquest. There is a HP threshold where the likelihood of getting nuked will decrease, but it's at 300. Building anti-air will also decrease the chance of getting nuked.

So is it okay if I go above 170 HP or M. General on my artillery? Because right now they just get slaughtered.
I don't remember playing this way before. Right now my artillery EC all my artillery generals are holding at 170 HP, or rank M. General.
Can you help me understand what this 300 hit point threshold is?

AI will prioritize units with the most HP and/or units with 300+ HP within range, so getting your generals below that threshold will lower their rank on the enemy's nuke priority. Anti-air can also lower the priority.

Manstein,
Is it okay then for me to level my artillery generals up to Marshall?
That information came off the Discord group, I don't remember that being an issue before. I always leveled all my generals to Marshall rank. Thank you again for all your help.
