My concern is, for example: I have the General, Eichelberger.
If ranking him to Marshall, or any rank above M. General (170 hit points) is going to cause a problem, I don't want to ruin that general.
Is it's going to be a problem if I level the Artillery Generals above 170HP (M. General)?
If I go above 170HPs and it's a problem I won't be able to bring him back down to 170 hit points Then I will have ruined that General that I paid for.
I would be discouraged If I level Eichelberger or any of my artillery generals above 170 points and find out that I messed up and ruined the general.

Between the lines, I hear a lot of fear of doing the wrong thing. But what is actually the worst thing that can happen if you rank up a general too much?

If the worst comes to worst, take a hit then deploy the general. Your infantry EC can also come to rescue.

Wow 1943 Conquest challenge mode is quite a bit harder.
I've been playing through 1939 Conquest Challenge and doing pretty well with different countries.
Today I went to move up to 1943. I tried Germany at first, and though I was successful it took a long time.
And then went to try England.
Things were going pretty well at first. I had defeated Rommel in Africa. I took over Thailand. I was doing okay and holding my own in England, though the German masses were coming across the water.
Then all of a sudden Italy just came rolling into Africa from the North like a storm.
Next I struggled to hold back a huge run of German troops coming across into england. I realized I wasn't going to be successful so I exited in stopped.
I then decided to try India.
I built my artillery EC units, to go take the Middle East, then try to take Athens. Plan was do the field artillery tactic through the Balkans.
At the same time I did the "send the air General to Shanghai trick to stop Japan."
This all worked in 1939.
I got severely humbled as my air General got ran over, and there was way too many Axis troops and Generals from various companies swarming at Athens.
Either I'm doing something wrong or I'm just terrible at this now.
The game is definitely very different in this challenge mode. .

Manstein,
I was really surprised by the Swarm of German units coming across to London, and the swarm of Italian units coming in the North africa. I was thinking to myself,...
"Did I completely forget how to play conquests? "

Manstein, I was really surprised by the Swarm of German units coming across to London, and the swarm of Italian units coming in the North africa. I was thinking to myself,... "Did I completely forget how to play conquests? " Yeah the 1943 challenge conquests are definitely harder than 1939, I made a difficulty tier list in the War Path section not long ago so go check that out i guess. For UK the AI managed to hold back because they have a 2nd Dowding to spawn and super tank clutches but even then in some conquests Germany managed to hold London and Birmingham. Players who play UK must know this fact so the easiest way to alleviate the pressure is to divert it by invading French mainland. The Italian storm isn't that bad but Sansonetti is the real problem there. As for Japan, well the most optimal way to defeat them is to accumulate as much money as possible to take as many cities as you can in one go, otherwise you need more to deal with their units which is not ideal given that you need to deal with Axis Europe at the same time.

I'm thinking over a situation in the game that I'd like to try to accomplish if possible.
I would appreciate your opinion, as I'm trying to strategize how to accomplish this goal.
I have Hartman and I really need a second really strong air General.
For example,....
I just played as Poland.
I needed to keep Hartman in the local German area a while to accomplish completing Germany.
But then It ends up being too late for Hartman to get to Shanghai to go against Japan.
I really need a very strong second air General, so I can keep that General in the local area, and send Hartman quickly to Japan.
I have Eisenhower, but I'm just not happy with his level of damage and it takes longer for Eisenhower and uses more funds.
I've been hoping for Spaatz to show up in the Shop bundles. I don't know if Spaatz going to be the air General to satisfy that need.
I'm wondering if it's possible to make a very powerful EC air General?
When you create an EC Air General, does plain fighting and explosives, or any other skills count towards air damage?
Or does air damage only come from the level of how many stars you have in air ability?
Is it possible to build a very powerful air general or is there another air General I should pick up with medals in the Academies?w

If you are not happy with Eisenhower then you won't with air EC either.

Thank you for the help.
I guess if I want a second Air General, it's probably going to be Spaatz.

I'd like to ask for some help and guidance in regards to getting Conquest Pass Challenges completed in 20 and 25 turns. I'm struggling trying to figure out how to accomplish that. The best I seem to be able to do so far is around 30 to 38 turns. And that's in 1939. When I try 1943, there are units everywhere. It's even more difficult. I'm trying to figure out how people manage to get down to 25 and 20 turns. My rewards points is at 73. I'm trying to figure out how to get to a 130 points, to pick up Ace commaner. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Are people leveling up Ion cannon and using that to help ? I see people sending screenshots of completing in 11 turns. Wow. It takes me that long just to get through a few small countries Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Thank you

What countries were you attempting? Save 1943 for later. A lot of 1950 NATO countries can be completed with minimal effort, and you should also complete all the cities and neutral country missions.

Manstein,
Thank you and I appreciate your help.
Tanks:
EC Tank Expropriation (level 2) Manstein Guderian Katukov
Artillery:
EC Artillery Govorov Zhukoff
Air:
Hartmann
I've won 1943 conquest challenge playing as Germany and USSR.
When I try Egypt, France, or Belgium, The German and Italians are just large spam.
Whatever strategies I used when playing in the past are futile against the huge spam of Axis units all over the board
Hartmann can't seem to get into Shanghai, as the Japanese are spammed at the border to China as well. It appears 1943 is broken with what appears to be "border spam".
I don't see how anyone could possibly take territories fast enough to get enough resources to create enough Force to overcome the Border spam from Italy, Germany and Japan.
I was able to complete a two-star country in 1939 in 25 turns, playing Poland.

In the 1939 Conquest challenge I've completed playing 18 of the countries.
It appears that what they've done in this update is program a whole lot of unit spam all over the board for the years 1943,1950, and 1960.
The spam on the borders is just a bit much.
I tried playing 1950 as France, I thought I was doing well and got over into the Balkans pretty smoothly and then just got absolutely overwhelmed by a huge spam of Russian units.
