I have just recently returned to the game and I'm looking for some advice. It appears things have changed when it comes to some generals and what to do with the EC generals from prior years.
I presently have 11464 medals
My generals are
Manstein Zhukov Eisenhower Kretschmer Hartmann Hermann Hoth
I'm contemplating what's best to do next.
I'm thinking about starting my EC's or at least one of them.
I've noticed in your guide on the progression. It appears that the advice on EC is a different process now
In previous years we went with two Arty EC and one tank EC.
I remember Supply being a skill I used on all 3 ECs.
Is Supply no longer recommended as a skill for the ECS?
It appears there are some new more powerful skills that are recommended for the EC generals.
Any help would be appreciated thank you

Follow the linked mentioned above. Supply isn't relevant anymore.

Manstein,
As always thank you for always being so helpful.
With that said, I have some questions as I've been away for quite a while and it appears things have changed quite a bit.
1. In the past, if I remember correctly due to aliens the recommendation was always to make either two if the EC generals artillery, or all three EC Generals Artillery given that artillery with rocket launchers was necessary to be able to defeat aliens as tanks were pretty much useless against aliens back then.
Is there a new skill or strategy that is now making tanks strong against aliens? What has changed to make that different now?
I noticed in one of your guides you mentioned possibly switching the EC Artillery General to tank. Is it possible now to remove skills from our EC generals and switch out to different skills without having to sell all the medals back to reset and start the EC General over.
2. You mentioned dropping a skill off a EC General to use a better skill. Are we able to change skills on our EC generals now. I thought in the past in order to change a general you had to sell back all the medals at a loss and start the EC General over.
3.In the past if I remember correctly we didn't recommend making a EC General Infantry, has that changed in what is different now?
4. Is Eisenhower obsolete now?
5.I see in the forums some new Generals that are mentioned as must-haves. How do we aquire those Generals? Are they purchased in the store?
6. I've never been a big fan of Govorov due to how slow he is, has something changed to make his speed more viable?
7. Is there some new skill or method that causes our units to self heal. In the past we used the supply skill, not that it was that great. Is there a new way for the units to heal?
I always appreciate your help, and I recognize that you know the game much better than I do. I would appreciate any helpful Insight and teaching to get me back up to speed.
Thank you

purtylee1. Tank wasn't useless against aliens, but artillery was more efficient. Now that we have medals and better tech, aliens aren't much of a concern anymore. 2. Yes, we can switch individual skills now. 3. Defense medals and Organization have solved the survivability issue of infantry EC, making them usable. Since it's easier for them to replenish HP than artillery ECs, it's now recommended to build infantry EC instead. 4. Quite the opposite. Back then he was the best air and navy, both of which weren't very important. Eisenhower is now a candidate for the top 2 non-EC air general with his second skill set (Organization build). Now air generals are becoming more important due to challenge conquests. 5. There's a "Featured" section in the store where the new generals will show up in turn. 6. Yes, namely the marching medal. Govorov is now, ironically, the fastest non-EC artillery general because nobody else uses marching medals. 7. For infantry, Organization. For navy, Raid at Sea (exclusive for Kretschmer and Mikawa). You can also combine the legion medal and other medals for healing skills, but normally, we only recommend combining them with assault medals and putting them on your best tank generals (that's why we recommend 2 tank ECs now).

Manstein, I can't thank you enough for your help you've always been very helpful to me.
I feel kind of lost right now and way behind the knowledge curve. It appears a lot has changed and there's a lot that I don't know and need to learn.
So you said there's something called a speed medal that Govorov uses??
Wow things sure have changed quite a bit. I wonder with close to 12,000 Metals if I should start working on an EC or whether I should save those in case something pops up in the new store that I need.
I feel kind of lost in the game right now. There's quite a bit I need to catch up on.
Things are so new, I'm afraid to make a wrong move.

If I understand correctly it might be better to make two tank EC generals and one infantry EC General and no artillery easy General?
My guess is then there must be some type of grind for these metals and it's critical to put the right Metals together on the right generals?

Ah I see the featured section.
6. Yes, namely the marching medal. Govorov is now, ironically, the fastest non-EC artillery general because nobody else uses marching medals.
I don't understand what you mean by nobody uses the marching medals. Is it something only Goverov gets to use?

purtylee 1. One of Govorov and Katukov (I don't remember his exact price, but no more than 1900) is all you need besides the ECs. 2. Yes, you can grind for the medals in operations. For now grind Barbarossa for tank/artillery/marching, Invasion into NA for assault/combo, and Torch for assault/defense. 3. Everyone can use marching medals, but only Govorov needs them.

I'm looking for advice on which wonders are best to spend resources on leveling first. At this point I've leveled up the wonders for gold, and oil and steel. I'm wondering if it's better to level up the Wonders that collect the industry resources next or the Wonders that collect medals. I can't remember the priority path having been away quite a while.

I have been away from a game for quite some time, and upon returning I notice things are quite a lot different. I'm having a difficult time deciding what to prioritize doing next and which order to follow in accomplishing the list below which based on how many medals I have at this time how to proceed next so as not to waste medals and resources. Based on how many medals I have at this time, I'm not sure which which course of action is the best to do next so as not to waste resources and medals. The choices I am pondering are.Which should I do first and, in which order should I accomplish these based on my Medal total at this time. I'm not sure where I am at time line wise with the game changes. 1. Begin EC Generals 2. Save medals for in store generals Eichelberger, Spaatz, Vasily, Whitman, Katukov, Sikorski, Weidling, Mikawa....etc 3.Get Govorov and Guderian. 4. Spend resources to get medal collection wonders? 5. Spend resources to get resources collection wonders? 6. Spend resources to further level tech skills ie.. infantry, Air, supply, artillery, Tank 7. Begin Conquest path. Not sure if my team is strong enough to complete conquest in ammount of turns necessary to gain awards. There are the choices I am stuck pondering . I don't want to make a bad move and have to restart I will try to add screen shot of my items. I appreciate any help and advice. I Have been away for quite a while and I really could you some help what's the best Decisions to make about what to do To maximize efficiency and not waste medals and resources. I really appreciate any help and advice.

purtylee You don't need Guderian anymore since you have enough medals to get the ECs started. Just build the ECs as instructed, and you'll be good. All you need besides the EC is either Govorov or Katukov, depending on your Manstein's main unit. No Sikorski, Weidling, or Mikawa. You have Zhukov and Manstein/Govorov for artillery and Kretschmer and Sansonetti for navy. Eichelberger, Spaatz, Vasily, and Wittmann are all IAPs, and the only one among them that can have a place your final squad is Eichelberger (that means you won't even need Govorov/Katukov). On resource spending, medal collection wonders then tech. Your tech is seriously falling behind. You can farm resources using 1939 Denmark and 1950 Portugal challenge conquests with minimal effort. On a side note, if you haven't unlocked Terracotta yet, focus on the naval missions until you unlock it. That should have the highest priority. Your final team: Tank: EC*2, Manstein/Katukov Artillery: Manstein/Govorov, Zhukov Infantry: EC Air: Hartmann, Eisenhower Navy: Kretschmer

Manstein,
Thank you very much for taking the time to look over my information and respond and help me.
I really appreciate it.
I went ahead and started the two medal collection wonders Terracotta Army, and City of Cuzco.
I went ahead and bought Govorov, and I was having a hard time in campaigns so I picked up Guderian as I've always found things easier with him and kind of like playing him. I figured if It turns out I don't need him later on, I can always dismiss him and get most of the medals back.
Out of respect for you I will let you know I made that decision to pick up Guderian before your response came in.
But again, if I end up not needing Guderian later on, I will just dismiss Guderian and get the medals back. I think he may help me out for now.
What matters most to me when it comes to picking a general is survivability and damage. I always really hope to find the best generals with the best survivability and damage. Survivability is an important issue for me with the way that I play and the type of generals would like to get are the ones that have the best survivability.
I am considering Eichelberger, Spaatz, Vasily, Mikawa, Katukov. Just from the standpoint of the them being interesting and having fun with some different Generals that play differently.
If there's any recommendation on some extra generals that would be good to get or if any of those generals I mentioned are terrible to get please let me know.
Is always respect your knowledge of the game and I really appreciate your help. Your advice and the help you provide always improves the game experience for me.
Thankyou very much.

Manstein,
Does it matter which order you place the skills when creating the EC General?
