Lol, bismarck, how are the techs and cultures going A little slow, I'm halting on the cultures but I plan on doing a complete workout with the techs today. We may be able to start a public alpha test.

Renassiance and colonial are kinda the asme thing, the renassiance actually encompassed the colonial era. I'm sacrificing a tad bit of realism for better gamelplay. Also, the colonial era lasted till the mid 1800s, but the Renassiance ended a time earler, so it helps to fill the gap in our timeline. Also, I think once I get the three current trees to Medieval that we should host the public testing. Because by the time they make it all the way up to Medieval I would have done enough work on the trees for them to play unhindered. And it would give me a reason to work harder. Good idea? I think it seems reasonable.

Posting from a talk with Bismarck the list of techs seems to be so superficial and has so much potential for more. I'm sure I could give you a lot more techs to incorporate into the trees (maybe depending on the amount of techs added, cut 20% of current PP costs then add the new techs in-between or adding branches and prerequisites). If not, at least let me know what ideas you will need for the later half of the whole tech tree (industrial age, modern age etc) Also, some techs don't have benefits except for unlocking more techs, perhaps you could add minor benefits like a granary for food storage, marketplace for commerce, courthouse & jail for stability or law-enforcing. There's many ways to improve the economy of cities and farms. Just small ones adding up to benefit the player's production. Even some things will lose effectiveness by becoming obsolete in a later tech, or works better under a different govt. Loads to put into your game.

I still am having a pp problem, as you go on, its gets ridiculsoly easy to upgrade your tech. Therefore, i belive we have to make tech riduculsoly hard. Or maybe we should make PP a bit more scarce Maybe the population gives a lesser rate of PP as a more scarce PP base rate but when combined with technology for improvement in production. The buildings would require using PP to be built into the cities one by one. And forget my previous comment about cutting 20% costs for techs, just add 20% costs for all current techs plus whatever new techs. That will take things longer for people to progress through the tech tree. And also add diverse techs in the tree would help, at least.
