Welcome to Chancellor Otto Von Bismarck/Commander William Riker/Brazilball's lesson on Southern Culture. The Southern Continental United States is home to many states of different cultural backgrounds, but with huge similarities. Except Southern Florida. Damn Yankees. .org/image/zdd072yr5/] [/url] As you can see, we make up a large portion of the US, perhaps the largest. Don't quote me on that though, let's just assume it is. We've made tons of great things if this glorious nation, and have always stood up for the greater good. Especially North Carolina. But do you Yankees and Westerners really know just how great the south is? Let the lesson begin.

Well, it was all That I could do to keep from crying' Sometimes it seemed so useless to remain But you don't have to call me darlin', darlin' You never even called me by my name
You don't have to call me Waylon Jennings And you don't have to call me Charlie Pride And you don't have to call me Merle Haggard anymore Even though you're on my fighting' side
And I'll hang around as long as you will let me And I never minded standing' in the rain But you don't have to call me darlin', darlin' You never even called me by my name
Well, I've heard my name A few times in your phone book (hello, hello) And I've seen it on signs where I've played But the only time I know I'll hear "David Allan Coe" Is when Jesus has his final judgment day
So I'll hang around as long as you will let me And I never minded standing' in the rain But you don't have to call me darlin', darlin' You never even called me by my name
Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song And he told me it was the perfect country & western song I wrote him back a letter and I told him it was not the perfect country & western song Because he hadn't said anything at all about mama Or trains, or trucks, or prison, or getting' drunk Well, he sat down and wrote another verse to the song and he sent it to me And after reading it I realized that my friend had written the perfect country & western song And I felt obliged to include it on this album The last verse goes like this here
Well, I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison And I went to pick her up in the rain But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck She got run over by a damned old train
And I'll hang around as long as you will let me And I never minded standing' in the rain, no But you don't have to call me darlin', darlin' You never even called me Well, I wonder why you don't call me Why don't you ever call me by my name Songwriters: John Prine / Steve Goodman You Never Even Called Me by My Name lyrics © Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC

Why sid the south steal bbq from the colonial germans We didn't. It was given to us, improved beyond recognition to the point of "Worthy only of God" and they could keep the...German. Thing.

Why sid the south steal bbq from the colonial germans What? You mean barbecue? Very briefly searching it up, there seems no connection to colonial Germans. Feel free to enlighten me.

OK, I get it. You have music. And cowboys. And one of the largest states in America. And the Charleston. And New Orleans. And agricultural production. And your accents. And the coal and oil industry. And more stuff. But do you know what you guys down south are not great at?
Other stuff, in which the stuff is basically as long as your list but on different stuff.
And no, I don't have bias against the South.

Antonio Santa Anna, this seems like your thing. Have any words for ths Commander Riker over here? #chickenwaffles Von Bismarck jr, you say we are yankees. I'm a Canadian with mostly british heritage who is mildly proud of us holding back the yankees in 1812-14. Where do I fall in on this spectrum of carpet-baggers?

Many barbeque elements originate from german colonists moving to america. The skillet is the biggest. There is alot of debate among bored scholars on whether or not the spanish or the Germans did it first germans totally did tho

When I was in florida last I went to resteraunt called sonnys barbeque.
It was amazing. Not as good as barbeque in Germany, but good. The skillet however, was superior to what we have in hessen. It came with a skillet sauce that was so much better than the usual bbq sauce you get at ALDIs

And NOW, being the proud Georgian I am, it is time for me to jump into this conversation. We may be bad at some things, but we nail far more, mainly cuisine, IMO. Say what you want about chicken and waffles (it's still frickin delicious), but Southern cuisine as a whole is superior when compared to the other regions in the South. There's nothing quite like homemade mashed potatoes, blackeye peas, pork chops, and cornbread. And of course, we have the best BBQ in America.
