Ok guys, you requested a thread in which I will Enlighten your souls with my staggering knowledge! I don't really know how to begin, but here's the deal: I'll deal with anything that is asked. Main topic is WW2. So, how did it start? Why did the Allies get their asses kicked so badly? How come the Allies could win WW2 after their major losses? I'm mainly going to deal with Europe and North America as that is where most visitors and members are interested in. I'll move chronologically: From the begin of WW2 untill the end of the war... and beyond! Feel free to ask me questions! There are a lot of prejudices about WW2. At the beginning of a presentation about WW2, I always ask 5 things, after which the audience makes wild guesses and then becomes deadly silent. Here they follow:
1. What were the 10 biggest battles in WW2? 2. Which country, ethnicity or religion suffered the most casualties in numbers? 3. Which country had the biggest concentration camps? 4. Which main political ideas battled for supremacy? 5. Which sunken ship produced the highest amount of casualties?
I'll try to make my answers as interesting and relevant as possible.

I got a question! Why did the Ottoman Empire collapse? I'll do the job for Suvorov, There are multiple reasons why the Ottoman Empire collapsed. One of them is the growing nationalism in the Villayets (Provinces) esp. in the Balkan area. The Ottoman Empire also didn't become as modernised as the other European countries. They did have a major ally, Germany but the Ottoman Empire fought (and lost) with the 2nd Reich. You shouldn't forget the Young Turk Revolution in 1908 which brought Enver Pasa into power. Enver Pasa had no idea in commanding an army and sunk the Ottoman Empire even deeper. The English advancing in the Middle East with the help of local Arabs and Greece joining the war gave the Ottoman Empire the final push.

I got a question! Why did the Ottoman Empire collapse? Answer at your leisure A couple of reasons, which I will go over now. Keep in mind that it definetely goes further than this, but I'm going to talk about the final days of the Ottomans. Five wars really weakened the Ottomans:Russo-Turkish War of 1878, Italo-Turkish War, First Balkan War, WWI and the Turkish Wars of Independence. The Russo-Turkish War resulted in the Turks losing control of Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Cyprus, Greek and Armenian lands as well as being forced to create two puppet states for Bulgaria. In other words, the Russians kicked their *Auto corrected*. The Italo-Turkish war caused the loss of the Dodecanese and Tripolitania to Italy. Italy's victory over the Ottomans inspired the Balkan states of Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria (now independent and unified), and Greece to attack the Ottomans and kick them out of the Balkans. Italy was seen as the weakest of the great European powers, so to see them absolutely destroy the ottomans in only a year or so made the ottomans look weak (which they were). The Balkan nations took the land from the dying empire and all the ottoman European lands were taken (side note:The ottomans did gain Thrace back in the Second Balkan War which was in 1913, only a year after the 1st). WWI saw multiple military defeats for the Turks, resulting in the Russians and British wrecking them and causing them to surrender. The Treaty of Sevres was signed to deal with the Ottomans. Here's the basic just of what the treaty said:The ottomans could only have like 50,000 troops, italy was to take southern Anatolia, Greece was gonna take Thrace and Izmir, France would take salicia, and Armenian lands would be given to Armenia. The Ottomans would only have control of a small region around Ankara. Istanbul become a Demilitarized zone like the Rheinland in Germany (there were also other parts of the treaty talking about the Caucasus and Arabia, but that doesn't matter about Turkey). The Turkish people were outraged and a group was formed that was created to unite the Turkish regions known as The Turkish National Congress. This was led by Kemal Ataturk. They took back their lands from Armenia, France and Greece. (Italy pulled out of the treaty due to disputes with Greece). They also defeated the remains of the Ottoman army. The treaty of Lousanne was signed in Switzerland in 1923 which resulted in the republic of turkey being recognized by all of Europe (the Republic of turkey is the Turkish National Congress), with the Ottomans no longer being recognized by anyone. With no land, no army, no sultan, no recognition, no anything, the Ottoman Empire then ceased to exist by 1923.

During the war? I'd say the Russian gulags. 4.I don't think I understand the question correctly put the Nazis' biggest enemies were the communists. 5. The Willhelm Gustloff ~9000 dead.

The kurdish hate against the turks originates from the Treaty of Sevres' changes in Lausanne.

I would say for 2. Poland. It had a lot of Jewish people so Hitler probably targeted them with everything he had.

In the 20th century you can say the Ottomans were fleeing from a sinking ship, they weren't as strong as before
