Especially their aircraft-carriers: Amazing.

The carriers were nothing. The commander (Mountbatten) was the awesome part! I just like Overlord because the US comes across the sea and gets their hands dirty. Also because Germany was so powerful it was an underdog situation.

Who were the most important countries in the war according to you guys? Here's my list: Most important Allied nations(Top 5): 1.The USA(Provided essential weapons and supplies for nearly every front, from the Eastern European to Indenesia) 2.The Soviets(If not for them, the war with Germany would've been far longer imo and they really kicked *Auto corrected* on the front) 3.The British(Held out against ridiculous odds using smart tactics and good generals) 4.The Chinese [Both Communist and Nationalist] (Also held out against overwhelming odds and stalled the Japanese for much of the war) 5.Yugoslavia(Had extremely bothersome rebels that forced the Germans to constantly divert troops to the region which could've been instrumental in combat) Most important Axis nations: 1.Germany(The main aggressor and were able to take out very important players such as France quick) 2.Japan (Created another theatre the Allies had to deal with) 3.Romania (Supplied pivotal oil supplies to the Germans) 4.Finland [Not an official Axis member but important co-belligerent] (Created another front for the Soviets and were a big pain in their side for most of the war) 5:Italy(Created multiple fronts for the Allies and were somewhat strong)

Bottlesofbeer, I am sure that the USSR has to be at number 1: 1. The supplies only began having effects in 1943, when the Soviets had taken the supremacy over Das Dritte Reich. 2. The Soviets were a long time the only country fighting Nazi's. You can't recapture Europe with partizans. If it weren't for the Soviet-Union, England could capture England making Overlord impossible even if Mountbatten would participate.

Sorry, I meant Germany could capture England. Furthermore, They could concentrate all their forces on England, capture North-Africa and therefore the Suez Canal, Gibraltar and Malta, which would make England starve. Germany could expand the production of U-Boats against America. Germany would have a bridge-head in the Middle-East waiting to be exploited. What I mean, is just that the USSR was the biggest and most essential Allied force in WW2 in Europe.
