Let me copy-paste my post related to this question.
During the first rounds I always save before ending the turn. I make sure the following things below happen in the Western area before I continue the round:
1. Jourdan pursues his ambitions to invade Britain.
2. Desaix decides to take the path below Zurich and attack the Swiss.
3. Marmont goes through the sea towards Italy or Milan.
4. Huarte does not leave Cadiz.
5. The annoying Seville Heavy Artillery does not move towards Morocco.
It will always attack the northern Moroccan coastal fort, but afterwards it should travel west towards the Portuguese instead of going straight to Morocco.
If any of these fail to happen during the enemy phase, just reload and see if the next turn will be different. once the French generals are all dead it will be an easier conquest. Be also mindful of the Polish north-eastern artillery because the Russians might forget it exists.
By round 20-22 you should also stop upgrading cities and factories, and only upgrade stables when absolutely necessary. You might also want to leave Archduke Charles in Rome for last minute trades in case your "Metal" gets short.

european-war-4.boards.net/thread/692/hre-1798-running-princesses-guide?page=30#ixzz4sztpkZT3Here is an additional strategy I can give you. Before your start moving any units, do the following:
ROUND 11. Go to Vienna's trading window. Make sure Archduke C. is still standing on Vienna.
2. Sell Metals/Wrenches with the 18=50 ratio 7 times.
3. Sell Metals/Wrenches again with the 3-10 ratio 3 times. You will end up with 500 gold, 65 Metals/Wrenches, and 300 food.

4. Upgrade Weilburg (Stables), Munich, Brunn, Lviv, and Clujnapoca. You will end up with 160 gold, 60 Metals/Wrenches, and 300 food.

5. Position your units.
a. I recommend having Hotze, August 1, Davidovich, and Klenau go for Paris. Position your eastern units in this manner, as this will allow you to kill the enemy infantry and damage Dumouriez by 50% of his HP bar in Round 2, as well as allow your cavalry general to be spawned as well. The northern Siege Artillery and line infantry should defend Oldenburg and Brunswick until Rosenberg and Deroy comes in later.

b. Position Sophia and Archduke C, along with the accompanying line infantry like the one below. The duty of Sophia and Archduke C is to break the fort and capture Milan, then later march towards Rome. They will also be the ones to kill Napoleon and Marmont in case the latter moves towards Italy. The duty of the line infantry is to capture the port at round 4, and then hold Milan until you can spam grenadiers from it to take the French city to the left. NOTE: Sometimes Italy spawns a privateer on the port near Milan. Always save before you end the turn to ensure that the 5 conditions I mentioned on the top part of my post is followed, in addition to Italy not spawning a privateer. Also ignore the fort and the artillery. Grenadiers from Vienna will clean them up for you at around round 20-ish.

c. Isabela, Lusignan, and their escorts should be positioned like below. Isabela should attack Selim III. Save before you attack, and only accept damage which is above 50. Reload if Isabela's damage falls below 50. Lusignan should do some damage to the fort, then move to help the heavy cavalry capture the city to the right. Note that Lusignan has mass fire so don't be afraid to have him receive damage, just don't let him get killed. Both of these generals have the responsibility to capture the whole Ottoman empire, assisted by spammed grenadiers and light cavalry.

d. The Polish front should look like the one below. The duties of Deroy and Rosenberg are to assist Russia in taking Poland, then rush to assist Sweden and Prussia in taking Denmark. Rosenberg, Deroy, and their escorts would be enough to take Dombrowski's city and stables, as well as capture the factory beside the fort to the left when the opportunity shows itself. They should then assist the Siege artillery and line infantry north of August 1 to take Sweden.

e. SAVE BEFORE ENDING YOUR TURN. After the enemy phase, the positions of Jourdan, Marmont, and Desaix should be exactly as shown below. Otherwise, reload then try again.

ROUND 2In this round, you have saved enough gold and metal to get yourself a Guards Cavalry for your cavalry general. In my case I used Sakurako. Also take note of the positions of the generals.
a. French Front. It is possible to kill the line infantry by using Davidovich first (35 damage and up, nothing below), the light cavalry, (30 damage and up, nothing below), and then Klenau (50 damage and up, nothing below). Save before you attack. Note that the line infantry is already damaged, so anything above a total of 115 damage will be sufficient to kill it. Do not accept anything below 30 damage for Dumo. The first few rounds are crucial in killing Dumo, Moreau, and Desaix so damage per round is important to consider. Also take note of the line infantry capturing the factory below the fort. Upgrade it to level 2 later then spam double formation light artillery.
Important things to note on the French Front: Use a decoy for Claude's fort. You may use a small fort to absorb his attacks. This fort can severely wound your generals who aim for Paris. After killing Moreau, Desaix, and possibly Marmont, your cavalry general should go straight for Zaragoza instead of Barcelona, then Madrid next. Use spammed grenadiers from Zaragoza to capture Barcelona, then your Cavalry general should go straight for Huarte. He is using a gcav so ships should be no problem.

b. Italian front. Note at how the line infantry is positioned. Get him a boat at round 3, then capture port at round 4. Sophia should give the port a tap. Note that only Sophia will be attacked by the fort since forts prioritize artillery over infantry and cavalry. In the later rounds use both generals to capture Italy, then the two islands to the left.

c. Ottoman Front. Note how Isabella is positioned. Once again, attack Selim III. These units should attack Isabella during enemy phase, only to get countered painfully. Since you have a tent, you should have Isabella wear it since she will take damage as well. In the succeeding turns, keep Isabella at a distance while trying to capture the city, and use her range to peel hitpoints from the targets close by.
Lusignan should capture the level 2 city, break the fort, then assist Isabella. The Russians will come just in time to assist. Prioritize capturing the factory near Nelson, and the stables nearby before having Lusignan and Isabella go for Istanbul. Artillery and cavalry from the captured facilities will be enough to capture Athens. Nelson may even help you. Use grenadiers and light cavalry as support in this front.

d. Polish Front. Take the city first. Wait for the next round then attack Dombrowski altogether, making sure he is surrounded. He has defense art, so save before you attack. Once Dombrowski is down, move your generals towards Sweden. Use grenadiers, light cavalry, and artillery from the facilities you captured. Russia will come in force so Poland will fall quick. Prussia will assist in capturing Sweden. Britain should take care of the Netherlands.

ALWAYS UPGRADE CITIES EVERY TURN until turn 20-ish. You can leave Archduke C on Rome so he can do trades. Anticipate the resources you will have once you reach rounds 27-30. You need at least 9xxx gold, 3xxx metal, and 9xxx food to get Victoria and Lan.
