The staff is happy to recognize those members that have achieved exceptional skill in speed conquest mode for any of Easytech games. I think this not only promotes pro-play but could also potentially even help average players focus more on attaining maximum efficiency play style (ie min-maxing) . So then EFC World Fastest Conqueror group is born! Its very first member is none other than World Conqueror 3 player Max Otto von Stierlitz who has demonstrated some excellent skills and record breaking numbers at the conquest level. Read more In this thread First EFC player to join the [World Fastest Conqueror ] group WC3 Gaming.
It didn't take long for World Conqueror 4 soonerjbd player to show us in details some of his very fast WC4 conquests and claim his spot. No surprise there, from one of WC4 helpful members and finest conquest players Eligibility for joining:The group is open to all players wishing to join that have attained a record breaking number in the conquest mode for any of Easytech games. We are doing only vanilla games for now but there might be a different project later on for game modifications . Records will be verified by the moderator of the particular game you are applying for. If the moderator is temporarily not available a substitute staff will fill in. Note: if no one has done or published results of the conquest you submitted then the existing group members in consultation with the staff will themselves decide if the conquest is fast enough to qualify. That is to say if none ever posted a conquest with Mongolia before and you post a 120 turns conquest you will probably not be eligible to join because 120 might not be considered fast enough even if no one has done it before. The verification process:The eligibility process has been formalized and so proof of deed will be asked of any player wishing to join the group. 2 methods of proof will be accepted for the conquest records, screen shots or YouTube videos: A) Screen shots schedule as follow: *Less than 20 turns : Minimum screen shots every 3 turns. *Less than 30 turns: Minimum screen shots every 4 turns. *Less than 40 turns: Minimum screen shots every 5 turns. Ect..
You must include the final turn screenshot (The victory pic). You are also encouraged to describe any turn where massive luck was involved or if you had to reload several times on a particular turn to achieve a particular goal. *Include comments on key moments of the conquest. *Include your generals used. B)If you elect a YouTube video method for proof instead then just post a link to it, no need for screen shots in that case. Clarification note: The group will feature our own forum player base exclusively. This will be EFC (Easytech Fan Community) achievement group, records made elsewhere will not disqualify you. Meaning all records are compared between our own members.

If you are doing screen shots, what exactly are you screen-shotting every few turns? The screen showing which turn it is? The progress of your army? Obviously you want the victory screen.

I tend to view myself as a humm..good player but I got a feeling that if I see some of these world records this gonna wreck my imaginary pro-play and shatter my ego Still I am curious I'll take the red pill, I wanna know what's possible with the best players. I want to see how they do it. Inquiring minds want to know! soonerjbd I think the SC's are just to show general strategy or map progression maybe. Gratz on the elite stats Max Otto von Stierlitz

The map where most of the action is going on? Zoomed out map showing the whole world?

I think that WC4 board has only one rightful heir to the throne right now . It is soonerjbd . No one else has a team or technology strong enough to demonstrate record breaking numbers. Maybe in several months time there will be other claimants... I must admit to being astonished at the 11 and 12 turn conquests in WC3. Never got close to that, although I never maxed out tech or got my ion cannon very high.

Hiya soonerjbd Yes a combo of some shots max zoomed out with some medium zooms and some regular shots detailing key events/turns. EFC has never done this before so we will learn if we need more specifics as we go but basically the staff and the players need to see how you execute your plan of attack to achieve these conquest records. If the plan (via the screenshots) is seen as possibly reproducible then it is believable and so the conquest record is legitimized and validated. Here is an example of a 1939 Russian WC3 with the stellar 15 turns victory direct from our friends at Baidu (the Chinese forum): Soviet Union 15 turn victory with pics
Credit: Yuedaoheng (a player from the Baidu community) notice how this player detail her actions followed by screenshots making it easy for other players to follow and check on her conquest and claims.

I don’t have any illusions that I’m anywhere close to completing conquests in the optimal number of turns. I need more people to max out their tech and fill in their squads so they can show me what I’m doing wrong.

WC3 records are great, but, as I said, these are different games. Before we have similar astonishing numbers in WC4, we can't say that you (or someone else) are doing somethg wrong. In other words we need something to aim for. So maybe Saltin knows what are best records for WC4.

I’m guessing just to repeat some of the ones I’ve already done on the WC4 records thread only with screenshots and more thorough explanations of battle progression.

Leonid Govorov , we have had the groups requirement posted a while ago, I don't want to derail this thread too much but here is a quick recap on the rest of the groups besides the new [World Fastest Conqueror]: 1/ Youtubers: anyone with a YT channel can join.Does not have to be just Easytech gaming, it can be anything non-controversial. 2/ Engineer Corp Members that mod Easytech games. Joining by invitation only. Current members vote on your membership based on your modding work thus far. 3/ Pioneers consist of the original 5 members of The forum.Membership admittance been closed almost immediately after the group creation. 4/ Illuminate Membership by invitation only. The current members decide on who to invite they look for exceptional contributions to our forum usually game knowledge but can be other areas such as RP (Roleplay) 5) RP Enthusiast Open to all. Anyone interested in Role playing can join.EFC has an RP War board that can be a lot of fun if you get into it. 6) RP Executive Officer joining is by staff appointment only. Existing RP officers and Salazar the RP moderator make recommendations for appointment. This is a leadership role to facilitate and help in the conduct of RP campaigns. Group members have more influence on the forum affairs via both direct and indirect powers for example they can decide who join their own rank , they have direct line of communication with the staff via special group chats and can make suggestions there, they can take votes on issues and make their own policies for their own group ect..The executive group can even lock/unlock the RP thread when they get out of hand (these games can get highly emotional at times )

I agree stoic , Soonerjbd got WC4 knowledge, a good general team look like he might be grabbing the next elite spot in that group but then again.. it might be you who will break records or someone else, maybe even a new member that hasn't even registered in EFC yet , you never know where the next star is coming from Aside from that you brought up an interesting point, one that I haven't thought of till now: what to do if a player is awarded the group status then someone else has a faster time for the same conquest? Logically we just kick the former out but it is kinda hash maybe we'll come up with some kind of a consolation prize like "Formally known as World Conqueror Speed Master" ..or something along these lines In chess there is an honorary title "Ex-World Champion"
