Leonid Govorov , no I tag people so they get a notification and know they got an answer or If I need to get their attention for something or other. Also I often have to answer several members in the same post so this avoids confusion. soonerjbd , you did the speed conquest for WC4 so it should go in the [The way of The Emperor] board NetherFreek or one of the staff or myself can review it. 27 turns in WC4 is very fast, conquests in this game are so much harder than WC3. Mine are still in the 100 turn range Although in the case of Finland 100 turns or so still earned me an " S" ranking ! If you haven’t tried a conquest in 1939 or 1943 as Egypt, I highly recommend them. They have an excellent economy for a one-star power and have good proximity to both the Pacific and European theaters. Because your first task is to take Africa, by the time you get to Europe and the Japanese empire, they have often stretched themselves thin and lost many of their better generals. I found Egypt to be easier than China at two stars.

I believe the addition of technology progression in WC4 is going to ultimately be the limiting factor in how quickly we can complete conquests. The tools that make it easy to mop up in the late game don’t become available until you have advanced your technology to level 6 and higher. It’s very difficult to get your tech that high in under 30 turns. I also think thisngives the U.S. a bit of a boost, as does the faster movement speed on water. You can pour money into tech institutes early and save up resources for strategic bombing and missiles ince you start your invasions of Europe and Japan. I still think they are slower, though, because you have to take more cities. France in 1939, along with Britain and the Soviets have the best starting map setups with quick access to multiple fronts.

You are quite right. Farming medals in WC3 took forever. Getting resources and even medals in WC4 is way easier. Just saying it will take a while for F2P players to get there. I paid some money up front, and it seemed way easier to max out. I spent more on WC3 and never came close to maxing out tech. You mean getting medals to maximize 8 gens in WC4 is easier than in WC3? IDK about WC4 prices, but assuming there are more skill levels and you can upgrade skills for all gens, I think that have to be harder. In WC3 to get 90 medals you just have to keep your phone on for 4 hours. In WC4 this seems to be much harder. But I have android, just started, even haven't bought any gen yet, may be I'm not right.

Requirements for maxing ion cannon: -4 batteries -7 centuries -lots of patience Not so tragically. Just 2 batteries and around a year. Also keep in mind, that wh I'll finish farming my second battery possibly will be even better that first when I started farming, so only 1 battery was spent... But I don't have max level yet... So may be all will be

Of course there are going to be others. We just started this thing and we are still gathering names and deeds so this will take some time!

The custom generals cost a fortune to fully upgrade. It also feels like there are more sources of medals in WC4. Invasions are new, obviously, but yiunalso get medals for exercises and battles along with competing objectives.

Sure, you can invest in them around 14-15K, but in most cases last upgrade costs the same as all pervious together. So even some 6K worth EC is monster. 15 turns USSR I did with quite cheap ECs, with lvl1 ion and also without rebuilding ECs to tank speciality (1 tank + 2 art). In 11 turns I have used Bai and Arnold instead of ECs (ECs where rebuilt and used in different place) and they did it ok.

I also wasted a lot of medals by building them with non-optimal abilities and having to stsrt over when I learned more about the game. I’d have saved a lot of trouble if I’d known about these boards.

In fact in WC4 are much more possibilities to get medals for playing (more scenarios, domination and so on), but no possibility to get them for doing nothing (medal wonders). Sure, you may not want to keep the phone turned on just farming, but anyway you get some extra medals just while playing. And also keep in mind that in wc3 each scenario gave you 150 medals, in wc4 only 90.

Even if you didn’t “need” it, it was still tempting to pump medals into it. You also had three more general slots with ECs. I don’t know. Seemed to me like medals came faster this time.

As a bit of an aside, I really like the new Invasion mechanic. It may not give you a lot more medals than leaving your phone open and farming them from wonders did (although that was not practical in many circumstances; I never did it). But I quite enjoy fighting for my bonus medals every 12 hours.
