I got vatatutin and Messe at the moment and enough medals to buy konev at the 40% of, worth it or always save for guderian? a shame I spent 450 medals today on technology wonders :-( Can medals btw be changed from general? I haven't got one at the moment yet but too lazy to search, otherwise I could always use vatatutin with some medals in the beginning My general lineup now is Leeb, Messe, Guderian, Nagumo, Konev. Guderian has worked wonders for me and carried me through every Pacific mission and a couple of Cold War ones. I would usually reccomend going right for him from your position. However, our difference is that I have an artillery general in Leeb whereas you have a tank general in Vatutin. Having said that, I think Konev will be your best bet. But if you do decide to buy Konev it's a long climb back up to 3,000 medals and you'll still need a Navy general. |

Oh BTW guys, I've finally bought Konev. I don't regret taking Guderian at all. My team is really rounding out now, I just upgraded Guderian a bit (Explosives and Plain Fighting, Blitzkrieg is now 54% chance) and stacked him with Medals. I might go for another navy general now, I can probably do the Nimitz mission if I upgrade my navy tech a tad bit more.
Another tank general would also be good, Rommell or Patton are the logical choices. Decisions, decisions.

I might go for another navy general now, I can probably do the Nimitz mission if I upgrade my navy tech a tad bit more. Another tank general would also be good, Rommell or Patton are the logical choices. Decisions, decisions. I think Rommel would be the better choice. After you beat his 40% mission he's only 1600-1700 medals and his skill slot is more solid than Patton. Desert fighting is not good but his crossfire and armored assault are well enough. Patton only has tide of iron going for him, his other two skills which reduce missile and artillery damage aren't as good. |

Oke thank you, next time I just will not use 450 medals for technology wonders, then after selling Messe I would only needed 500 medals. Maybe just start over some time, learned so many things about the game, like those achievements who renders medailles etc.

Probably not unless you bulit up your Artillery numbers and invested heavily in artillery tech.

Is it possible to try Konev 40% without Super artillery Depends on your technology level and which generals you have. May I know more details? Field artilleries won't help much, make sure you can barrage them from 2 squares away. Encircle your enemies (especially Manstein) to bog down their morale. Make sure Konev is alive. |

I just finish that mission. I tried twice.
Luckly I have medals for Artillery leader and accuary which can boost konev skills.

Here's one: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/7699/on-using-screenshotsOn topic: I believe I waited for Super Arty to be unlocked so that I can rain rockets down on the Germans. They have quite effective suppressing power. I believe having Leeb also helped me to clear Konev's mission. And if I were to say "when to get Konev", after you get your 1st tank gen that comes after Messe. Since Messe can be used as a substitute inf-tank hybrid and maybe even arty for those early missions, you can focus on getting Konev later. If arty missions are really tough to beat, you can invest in the relatively cheap Leeb who can help you to work towards Konev as well. |
