I'd say he's good as is. Level 3 raider for base is pretty good and the medal only makes it better. Plus forests are pretty common too and helps a lot in the daily invasions with no casualties. A bit on the slower side though. Shame infantry sucks in the game. They are useless, really. I only build Light Infantry to keep cities safe from paratroopers and to serve as a meatshield. Which is often a resource waste anyways. I only have need of an infantry general for certain invasions and challenges domination mode in which case Konev handles my business for me with ease. I'd rather upgrade his raider skill than spend medals on a bonafide infantry general. To each their own though.

Its a pity the motorized infantry are not good counters against armored units as one would expect them to be.

Womp womp. And they were my favorite infantry unit to use in WC3.

First off, it was making Mechanised Infantry, making Motorised obsolete. Second, the damage even on quad isn't great. Third, in a game where OP Panzers and panzer generals exist, their grenade thing is useless.

About that, I have to check.

Paratrooping Motorized infantry were essential to conquests since there were no mobility upgrades outside of generals. A lot of times, your main army with the tanks and artillery are too far away so spamming MI is the only way to capture cities where you can start spamming the better units.

I can safely say that both versions had Grenade. In WC3, it could be used against fortresses.

but their movement is still great, which is why paratrooping them may come in handy depending on the circumstances

In Kuso 2.0, at least the German Motorized Infantry are OP. They deal like 200 damage to tank units, without being stacked and at max tech.

So is Mannerheim a better choice than Rundstedt? I am thinking about getting an infantry gen I personally think so, at least initially.
