I love the attack animations in this game. Extremely satisfying, especially for Infantry. They line up, aim , fire, then reload their weapons. In WC4 they instantly attack and don’t even reload their weapons.

It makes some historical sense for different battle animations for different eras and ages.

It makes some historical sense for different battle animations for different eras and ages. Yup. EW6 has the most satisfying ones in my opinion. The sounds of the muskets firing and the swords striking is music to my ears.

Is the difference between Karl and Massena really that big? A case where a General outclasses another is much different from a case where a general is just slightly better than the other and the difference being barely noticeable. I would recommend getting Massena first. He seems really affordable for someone that is a gold-tier and one of the best generals in the game.

Massena is slightly better early on. But later in the game, as Karl has numerous advantages over Massena so you will need him as well. Unlike Massena, Karl is a tank, sort of a bullet sponge. He has better defense and output than Massena due to his emperor rank, his ambush skill (the guerilla of ew6, but works when defending as well), Jungle Fighting, intercept. In terms of actual output, I have seen this guy throw some of the highest amounts of damage in the game, upwards to almost 400 damage. It doesn’t happen often, but it happens reasonably. Yeah, don’t use blucher to attack this guy

Why? you might ask,I wanted Nelson to accompany Sakurako for Crimean war.and grinding conquests, I truly believe Karl is better than Massena for the end run.

Well most will end up getting both, but if you want to have a very small infantry team, thats up to you. Karl is a better tank than massena, and does extremely massive crit damage so he is better. But massena is equally good on the offensive and at attacking cities. The guy deals more than most artillery generals against fortresses.

Let's do a side by side break down of these 2 fellows shall we? Already I have noticed Karl can reach emperor Massena only prince. The rest I leave to the community to analyze😁.

I have Wellesley (can't dump him he is permanent)only want 2 infranty generals anyway. I could buy another slot however, but when I get Karl, I should be set on infranty.
