I would consider to buy an Artillery general first. We get 3 cavalry generals for free in the first two campaigns. And usually you don't have so many cavalry units at the start of each mission. On the other hand a good Artillery piece is always available...

In this game artillery seems useless until there are cities... like their damage is limited by 15% on normal troops. on the matter on ambulance i blew most of my cash on tech and gen upgrades so id have to grind a bit more

Yes, Artillery has penalties vs. troops, yet, it is a general consideration... But there's a particular one, namely the set of skills of Artillery generals. As you see, many of them have Tactics master - a chance to repeat an attack. We didn't have such Artillery generals in EW6 1806, but now it is game changing. We have powerful Arty gens who are able to attack twice or more times from a distance. This fact alone can change the situation drastically...

Maria and no-one else in EW6:1804. At the cost of a very strong palace ability.

Maria and no-one else in EW6:1804. At the cost of a very strong palace ability. Oh, yes, Maria, but her other skills were weak for an Artillery general. I recall I wanted to make Lee an Artillery general, unfortunately he was a Duke...

Guess im lamenting cuz 1) campaign 1 missions have some artillery units that look useful but only when you trudge them into a city 2) I have no artillery gens (yet ahaha) 3) ulysses and sheridan are just ok, while all the starting missions are land based so I can only place farragut on preferably an artillery unit for city seiges, so maybe cuz of a lack of strong infantry/cavalry I place false hope on the ability of artillery as an all-rounder

Garbage. At least he is not Clinton. Lannes jr. in 1806. Clinton 2.0 in 1914.

3 absolutely terrible skills: inspiration, counterattavk, baddle array. Terrible. 1/5 stars. Even formation master is non ideal

I’m the one who gave the 5/5. He’s Clinton 2.0, and everyone knows how great Clinton was, just check out his general thread. People gives him 5/5.
