Grenadiers are exclusive to France and Russia and HMGs are not very fast even with double terrain skills. 11 move. Plus bad durability, plus no second attacks, plus massive population cost. That is why the red shirts are my favorite unit. Double attack, are quite moveable and lower population cost. The only problem is that they cost more and aren't great at dealing with enemy forts. Musket. Still bad stats. Can only have 15 move with marching bulge which means that they can’t be spawned. I’m not really fond of them myself. It really is old guard or firebat and only those for me. |

Why do you think I renamed the old guard to Vader's fist in my mod. There excellent in defensive warfare and can carry machine guns which makes them more effective. The firebat Is great at dealing with forts and also have good capabilities at dealing with infantry. Due to their abilty againist forts I also see them as a great special forces but the oldguard wins due to their veteran abilty. |

Also horse calvery shouldn't even exist because they would be slaughtered;Artillery shouldn't be able to attack close range units now because most where field guns and used to attack trenchs |

Cavalry units are still used in WW1, though, before they will be changed with tanks after. Anyway Grant is a good headstart General especially now due to his terrain abiltys. They could have atleast added a little more battle abilty because the civil war missions are a bit harder then Ew6 1804. |

I made a small restart run before I reverted to my cloud save and actually found him to be better on Breastplate Cavalry until Sheridan came around. Not too surprising since he has high battle ability but low infantry ability and not a single good infantry skill at the start. |

He is basically a 1914 version of Louise, She has high battle and ok Infantry abilty an yet only does around 40-50 damage most of the time. |

There should be a red "Dismiss" button at the bottom of the general's menu. Click it and a screen should pop up, saying how much medals and gold you will get back if you well the general. Click the red "OK". |
