Have you bought any axis gens yet? I have heard that their eastern front missions are particularly difficult compared to the allied side which is why I've prepared by buying the best art and tank general that the axis camp has to offer(leeb and goderian) Well, for the Axis, the choice is relatively easy Guderian/Rommel/Leeb but getting the medal to buy them is another story. lol. That's why I don't like to hire Guderian or Leeb. The path is so bloody obvious, even boring It will be very exciting to find decent replacements

The puzzle is why they constantly create so many absolutely useless generals

I did get dowding in the ‘39 campaign. I was able to work through ‘41 without any new ally generals beyond the free ones. In 42 pacific, dowding does help because he is usable on every map so far, either on a carrier or infantry. I am not saying he is the best choice, but he isn’t a waste in my experience.
He is Eisenhower-light, where overall he clearly lean towards infantry, but he has the stats and skills to be a good carrier commander.

With carrier max dmg per turn - let’s say 70, I don’t know exactly With heavy tank at certain conditions- up to 500 , plus minus Which doesn’t cancel the fact that at late it’s possible that you may need max damage from all types of units

The puzzle is why they constantly create so many absolutely useless generals If the hired general are refundable, I think many can be viable in term of a good performance per price, which helps smooth out the progress before we can get those end-game generals (like in GCR). But, unfortunately, that is not the case and non-end game generals will be just a hinderance. What makes the matter worse is the fact that many weak generals are not available at the beginning of the game. I cannot think of a reason to buy those generals.

Quick question= I've completed the 1941 allied campaign and I'm stuck in the axis campaign despite having the famed guderian and leeb combo I think I would have to get a extra axis general to help me clear the remaining campaigns, jam tempted to buy kesselring to help me perfect clear 1939 and he can be used on a carrier in the navy missions I'm also tempted to buy donuts and Rommel aswell but right now kesselring seems to be the most appealing choice for me what do you guys think i should do next?buy a general to help me if so who? Or soldier on with only leeb and guderian?

Well what do you lack? If you're satisfied with your current damage in regards to artillery and tank then you should get an infantry general. Though donitz is appealing as he will definitely be usable in the pacific campaign. Overall I say get what you need or lack. All the best!

As he is usable in the pasific campaigns on carriers and is likely to be featured in africa and 1944 western front I'm also lacking a strong air powerhouse and I'd say ozawa would suffice for some time

I have Rommel and Leeb, because he is better at 1941, which I haven't passed yet

I wouldn't overestimate the value of available historical generals for certain periods... At least for now... In first campaigns we could invite only one "special guest", but I see that their number will be increased as we progress... So, presumably, more slots will be unlocked eventually After completing the eastern front I can now confirm this theory that the number of "special guest" we can bring along increases as we progress through the campaign with the 1942 pasific having 4 slots compared to eastern fronts 3
