Curious thing: if you click on the icon in the top left, now this appears: It's just purely decorative, anyway.

Units trail - archers 8. This is the map: We can use 8 generals, so I guess it will be the same for inf and cav (maybe 1 or 2 less for artillery).

Exactly. I am stuck (and will be stuck) in infantry, cavalry, and artillery trails, until I upgrade more generals.
I am using archer lineup, and have only 2-3 generals for infantry/cavalry/artillery fully upgraded.
This is truly the longest game I ever played, and will be even longer.

It seems that the last missions for every unit type allow for 8 generals to be deployed, even artillery. And this might be a problem for f2p players, since we have only 7 artillery gens available (Napoleon is the 8th). But artillery missions seem easier than the others, so maybe 7 generals will be enough.
One thing is certain, though: to get three stars in the last missions we need many generals with max or almost max level and skills. Thousands of medals to spend...

I'm stuck on archer 8, I can't finish it even to get 1star. The mission is not hard by itself but the only problem is time, first of all I suppose that the goal is eliminate everything but there are many target to hit and 3-4 generals that are very though. With my best full archer team 80-90% out in everything, 4 commander and complete IAP general and all gold items the best goal I got was miss the 1star/24turn for 1 or 2 shot to kill the last arty general.
By the rest from 1 to 7 was not so painful, but for sure you need a full gold team for every trail and tons of medals that is probably the main task

I'm stuck on that as well, I could only get 2 stars in 18 turns. On baidu I found someone who did it with 3 stars and posted something about his strategy here, but he has Washington (I don't) and I couldn't understand well how he split his forces (google translate gave unclear results). I think he used the 4 commanders to go directly west and Nobunaga and Mulan to the north, from what I could understand.

blueberry, Meanwhile, I'm two castles away from Fougeres... How easy is it to get to the 200 medals for each unit trail, and what would be the minimal investments to get to the special items for cavalry and archers? I have 8 generals at 7 stars, 4 cav and 4 archers On a side note, they also changed the progression of cure expert/master skills. Now we need lv7 for 3 turns and 2 radius.

You can definitely get those 200 medals for cav and archer and maybe also artillery, if you have 2 or 3 gens at lvl 6 or 5. I found infantry missions harder than the others. I have Alexander and Barbarossa at lvl 7, Peter and Petain at lvl 6 and Beowulf, Xerxes and Leonidas at lvl 5 (but all of them, except Alexander and Barbarossa, with lvl 1 skills) and I can't get the 200 medals for infantry. Reaching the 18 stars for the items requires some more effort but it's not too hard, for archers and artillery (cav is a bit tough). What are your main generals? And what other generals do you have at lvl 5 and 6?

First of all, just focus on campaign. Even one star will reward you with medals. Then I'd say that you should get the Hammer of Odn and Axe of Titan, for now. With these you can finish the campaign. Units trail is secondary, just do what you can. Artillery: - for art 2, try having Khalid face the southern opponent, he seems weaker. - I passed the first 4 missions with Bismarck and Khalid at lvl7, Cleopatra and Li S. at lvl 6, so if you pass art 2 you can get those 200 medals, I think. Archers 5: I wrote something in the previous page of this thread, maybe it helps. Even if you can't free the general blocked by the wall, you can get three stars. Try to ignore the spam (or clear what you can with Pachacuti) and head for the objective. Cavalry: you should be able to get the 200 medals with no problems. Remember to use the princesses, when possible

Devil Twinswords -> weapon Holy relic -> armor Saddle of the Monarch -> movement, I think Giant amulet -> self explanatory Wow then all the orange, blue and golden weapons are better than the Twinswords. And Saladin with +70 defense from Holy Relic would need another source to increase his tanking capabilities. Maybe the additional damage is worth it. Saddle (additional movement without having to spend medals on purple boots) and Amulet (everyone likes +atk) are desirable but, compared to the effort to get them, they are no game changers, either.

The author also showed that he could almost win without him. The idea of producing an artillery unit to exploit fire damage is nice, but there is low chance that the tile will catch fire, and I'm still convinced that the archer general on the peninsula needs to be dealt with at the beginning.
