I can confirm that the last artillery mission is easy. For 3 stars you have to complete it in 25 turns. I did it in 22 turns with some scarcely upgraded generals (and I even think I could have avoided upgrading some skills): - Bismarck (lvl 7, skill lvls 1, 10, 1) - Li Shimin (lvl 6, skill lvls 1, 1, 1) - Cleopatra (lvl 6, skill lvls 1, 5, 10) - Khalid (lvl 7, skill lvls 6, 1, 1) - Heihachiro (lvl 5, skill lvls 4, 1, 1) - Koxinga (lvl 5, skill lvls 1, 1, 1) - Columbus (lvl 5, skill lvls 1, 1, 1) So jonblend , Iron Duke , stoic , andrei , dain , sh88 , dagonithtr , zabadanov86 and whoever is still playing ew5 (ew7 hasn't sucked up all your attention, has it? ), you can save some medals here (assuming you haven't already completed it ). With minimal investment it's possible to get 3 stars in all artillery missions (well, it still requires thousands of medals to buy the generals...). I've found missions 6 and 7 slightly harder because they require some good timing, but they are still relatively easy. After getting
- Bismarck (lvl 5, skill lvls 1, 6, 1) - Li Shimin (lvl 6, skill lvls 1, 1, 1) - Cleopatra (lvl 6, skill lvls 1, 1, 6) - Khalid (lvl 5, skill lvls 6, 6, 1) - Heihachiro (lvl 5, skill lvls 1, 1, 1) - Columbus (lvl 5, skill lvls 1, 1, 1)
I tried artillery trail and was able to reach 8th mission. Level 7 took some time to memorize all the enemy unit positions and a little luck with Arthur's attack again. However the last mission gave me troubles. First, how to distribute the generals? There are 3 slots each for north and south and 2 slots for assisting Henry, who doesn't seem to be able to make progress on his own. Should I just focus on the red and green circle targets or be more thorough? And is it better to put the 3 best generals in the north/south or should I aim for equal strength. Are normal units useful and if yes, which?

Just focus on the targets, especially in the north. I'd recommend 1 Commander north and 1 south, and the weakest in the centre.

I agree with Iron Duke. Use 3 generals in the north, two in the south (a Bismarck is already there) and the weakest in the center. Spam infantry in the north.

When did they add a 60 seconds countdown between ads? I haven't updated the game since march. And why did they add it after all this time? Is anybody else experiencing this?

Yes I notice too few days ago, but doesn't happen all the times, sometimes also it loads "only" 3 or 4 adv instead of the regular 5/day but I don't know the reason. There was a hidden update in April with no description so is possible that we got it from there

Not a big deal, anyway, I'll just have to waste 4 more minutes every day... Just wondering what triggered it to activate.

There was a hidden update in April with no description so is possible that we got it from there sh88, blueberry, Happened to me today:( I opened EW5 and it had only 4 daily ads available. Fortunately, I had a cloud save from the previous day and after loading it was back to 5.. I have this about once per two weeks on GoG3 as well, there it's 3 instead of the usual 4. My superstition is that it carries over from different ET games when your CPU is having a hard time. Thing is, I start the "daily login routine" with GCR (which has 3 ads) and then switch to EW5.
Of course I tried to change the order and was actually able to have 5 ads available in GCR once ... but after watching the first one, the rest was greyed out and "not available" for the rest of the day.
With my device at it's limits, sometimes, the ad videos are finished prematurely, (probably because showing this video takes a low priority in a phone's task hierarchy and the video is interrupted due to resources allocated to more important processes), allowing me to collect the rewards before enduring the full timer (~30 seconds) But then there is an unusually long cool down (~45 sec for GCR) in between ads. My wild guess for the 60 seconds delay would be that it is a way to prevent players from taking advantage of such glitches.
PS: I was not able to reproduce this "condition" deliberately, it's an observation when playing many ET games over many months. Besides, it's more of a nuisance than an exploit tbh.
PPS: this also happened before mentioned update.

I completed the last artillery mission with this team
The northern team was supported by infantry spam and went all the way east to destroy the castle and occupy the "red" house. Southern team was following the coast and defeated Zeus, afterwards they moved south to destroy the towers and captured a factory. In the center, focus Artur first and hope he doesn't make much use of logistics. Then (with the help of wolves) try to surround Athena, set her on fire with artillery spam (steal factory and houses from ally) and hopefully kill her fast enough.
as for the 1 minute delay between ads: I'm having this every day now and only 4 available, so supposedly this is just how it is now...
And, blueberry , would you rather have Henry, Huo or Batu Khan as 8th member for the cav trail? I already got Blucher for Ragnarok conquests and I'm currently working on Asoka. Hannibal and Edward are at 60.

Hannibal and Edward are at 60. After using Henry, I can say that he is really useless. He just can't survive (and I think it would be the same for Batu Khan). Choose Huo. I remember leaving Huo at lvl 5 for his bonus against infantry, but he got killed by the archer generals, so upgrading him to lvl 7 might be a good idea (after all, he couldn't one-shot the infantry spam even with the bonus, so...). as for the 1 minute delay between ads: I'm having this every day now and only 4 available, so supposedly this is just how it is now... Yeah, I have 4 since the day I posted about it. The 1 minute wait is annoying, but now I just alternate watching ew5 ads and ew7 ads (leaving both games open in the background).

Someone who passed infantry trail 6 can tell me which are the targets? I simply cannot kill all the unit in time and don't know hot to finish

Someone who passed infantry trail 6 can tell me which are the targets? I simply cannot kill all the unit in time and don't know hot to finish You have to kill all units and destroy the 2 forts/town centers. When you don't see red circles to mark an objective, it's always like this. I suggest keeping all your units together. First clear the north, then the south.

And I still need 8400 medals (it's their combined purchase cost) to have everyone. Who is still in Lyon? Hint1: 4 generals
Hint2: 3 from the gold/purple section Hint3: Charlemagne is among them
